Sorry for the stupid questions.... When you say grind to get the boons and gear, etc, is this something I can do at the appropriate level? Meaning if I'm say, level 25, can I get the same gear and enchantments as the twinks I'm fighting against? Or are they getting access to things that can only be attained at max level,…
Right! *facepalm* Sorry. I played at release and there were no major content patches/modules when I played. I played for probably a month or two, I think? Long enough to get a character up to 50ish. But I don't recall any big patches so I was looking for a full list to sort of catch up on what's new and the story/events…
You do know that they're not referring to the Scourge Warlock from WoW, right? They're referring to the Scourge Warlock from D&D. The one that will in all likelihood be implemented soon, considering players regularly looted gear designated to the "Scourge Warlock" class.
What's with all the animosity? I've been skimming this thread and page after page seems to be the tired debate of open beta vs soft launch. Whether it's one or the other or both, what's it really matter? The game is out. You can play it for free. There are things for sale in an internet store. You can buy them if you like.…
Beta or launch, the game has been out a couple days. There's going to be instability. If it bothers you so much that you feel the need to shed your tears on the forum, then why not take off for a couple weeks and come back? The game will likely be a lot more stable then. Or don't come back. I'm sure the community will miss…
Nice post Ambisinisterr. It's nice to see some ideas and criticisms coming from a good place. I can't wait for all the respective "This game sucks!" posters to go back to their other games. I don't mean that to sound elitist, but I'm one of the guys who likes Cryptic and likes Neverwinter, so I'm growing tired of all the…
I like the stop to attack thing too. Since everyone has to do it, it's not a balance issue. Plus I've actually spent a lot of time watching PvP videos because the combat is so aesthetically pleasing with fighters stopping to cross steel. And I realize some might have found the gameplay mechanic of jump casting fun or…
Quoted for emphasis. The game is, as of my post here, in it's first day of Open Beta head start. Cryptic hasn't nerfed anything from PvP, has shown no signs that they will. Why are we getting up in arms about this? The notion of classes being nerfed because of PvP is an old horse. I'm confident that Cryptic is well aware…
I love D&D. I love PvP. Having the two together in one game is great. There's your answer, OP. Also, you mention that in your opinion the game wouldn't suffer without PvP. That's your opinion and I guess it comes down to your choice of words... would it suffer/fail without PvP? No, I agree with you there. But it will draw…
I'm excited for the Scourge Warlock! I tried to replicate a warlock so many times in DDO with pretty limited success. Can't wait to get that one. Beyond that, I'd like to see some of the basics covered. Ranger is apparently in the works and that's great, we need an archer of some sort. I'm glad to see so many other people…
