Hey, what's up man? I don't play too much. I let my account go F2P a long time ago, but I'll log in every now and then and do the 5 warzones you're allowed to do each week. Beyond that though, no, I don't play. Timeless just doesn't provide the strongest stats right now for PvP, and the extra crit from the bonus doesn't…
I'll be updating the OP within the next day or so. Changes will include: Powers and Feats: The removal of the battle trample SS, replaced with Crushing Pin. Removal of 3/3 Potent Challenge. Gear: Will update the optimization for Stalwart. Will possibly remove Timeless from the guide altogether since I feel like Stalwart is…
What I use for dungeons: Frontline Surge - Q Enforced Threat - E Lunging Strike - R Villain's Menace - 2 Fighter's Recovery - 3 Mark - T Shield Block - Capslock I've modified my keyboard a little bit, so my Capslock key is technically left control, and my left control key is my Capslock key. I just find the positioning of…
I'm still around, but like I said a few pages back, I'm not actively playing the game at the moment. I keep an eye on things and I can update the guide as different information proves to be valid and things like that. As far as me personally testing things, not so much. I might pop on this week and do some Gaunt and see…
Yes Stalwart and 22%. In my opinion, Stalwart is the strongest tier set we have, especially since the patch - with increased threat there should really be very little downtime on the stacking power buff, which should edge it out over Timeless (even in a lot of single target situations - if you can hold aggro and take some…
For PvP I use Timeless with the Scimitar/Timeless Shield, Pyro rings x2, Power/Crit/Whatever neck (doesn't matter which 3rd stat you grab), Power/Crit/Whatever belt and 6x Tenebrous enchants. I personally have ArPen as the 3rd stat on Neck/Belt - which leaves me with about 800 unbuffed crit, 300ish unbuffed ArPen (aren't…
I think you're confusing the purpose of this guide and the way I'm using the word 'hybrid.' It has little to do with gear. The whole point of the guide (and calling it a hybrid build) is for the spec; it has nothing at all to do with gear. The spec allows you to freely PvE and PvP without paying the atrocious respec costs…
I have a couple greaters, it still doesn't matter, you're talking 900 damage x 6 procs on a 10 second CD... it's not THAT big of a deal in PvE - and the difference between my current setup and Grand Regent armor + the Ancient Shield/Sword set is a whopping 6% damage reduction. Not worth it.
It's showing you the cumulative total for whatever ability you're using... so if it "started at 200 and went as high as 4000", what that means it that your shield slam did a total of 4,000 damage while you were just spamming that one ability.
I mean, I logged in the preview server but what's to really try? They 'fixed' shield block - it still breaks after an encounter use, but will refresh after a 1 second ICD as long as you repress when you lose the block. They gave us some more threat - wonderful, threat was never really an issue at any point. Was it hard to…
Steel Bulwark probably for cosmetic purposes - I use the full Steel Bulwark set for my appearance, but I've never seen boots drop (nor found them on the AH, either). Probably not in game.
Mainly because, purely from a PvE perspective, Crit just doesn't add much DPS for the GF. I mean, I know it sounds weird, but we don't scale all that well with Crit. However, with that being said, when I use Timeless (which is the majority of the time), I have 2700 Crit rating with the set stacked, which isn't far off from…
I don't have the exact numbers on me - if you're getting 480 DPS from the Tenebrous enchants, it wouldn't be hard to plug your stats into the spreadsheet as they are, then boosting your ArPen to 22% and seeing if the difference is > 480 or not to get a good idea on if it's something you want to do. I know I personally…
Obviously things will need to be tested, but my initial thoughts are that this will still be the go to spec. The state of most dungeons (read: all) is damage > anything. And in all honesty, the Protection tree as an example doesn't offer that much more survivability at the cost of a ton of DPS. The block change affects all…
As long as you hit the caps, the way you get there doesn't matter too much. If you gear for ArPen, then just gem for Power, etc. Just remember to keep as much power as possible (either from gear or enchants) on your character and not your pet, as you get the double the benefit of power due to feats.
The Trample the Fallen passive is very good, yes. Battle Trample as a feat isn't very good however, and I would suggest using Crushing Pin in its place (or anything else you want). It's including Dex. For instance, with 15 Dex, it'll be roughly 2150 ArPen rating. That sounds perfectly fine to me. It's explained simply by…
OP updated with new BiS setups for Stalwart and Timeless - I noted it in the OP, but keep in mind that it doesn't matter which level of item you use, as long as you're using the same base item. For example: My guide recommends Ancient Slavemaster's Ring of Control. If you haven't had those drop, or cannot afford them, that…
haha, that's the exact gear I'm wearing and 100% to the T what I have on the OP, the only difference is the enchants - I'll just drop recovery enchants and go 1 more ArPen and the rest power.
I had no issues clearing CN with my group - I've done it with 2 different comps: DC, DC, GF, CW, TR and DC, GF, CW, CW, TR I've cleared the final boss one time with 1 of each class, and it was awful.
