At the end of a beta there is a wipe. In a beta you can't use your real money to buy shop items. This is not beta. They call it beta because they know game is totally full of exploits (one new exploit every 1-2 days) and they use it as an excuse "ehy, it's beta, every sh*t can happen in beta". That could be right, if at…
As you like, you can invent every new word you like. I'll stick with the word that is using the rest of the world: WoW-clone (and again, not because WoW has invented the gear-farm, holy trinity, equip based MMOs, but only because it's the most famous)
For a RPG, I don't like this. And this is not what for years has been D&D. Why should be this way? For years in D&D roles are never been so defined like in 4.0 and still it has worked... Lost my faith in WotC. I prefer Pathfinder or totally different RPG. You can say that NWO is not a Everquest-WoW-Rift-SW:TOR clone, I'll…
And stilll in D&D 4.0 there are more choices than the one actually in Neverwinter I'm not wasting my time, I'm playing Neerwinter only for the GREAT quest made by Foundry authors (Craptic devs, learn from them how to do nice and interesting quests, not the HAMSTER you did with the storyline). All the other aspects of the…
Thanks to PvP AFKers in opposite team, some matches are an easy 1000-0. When I'm leader and I see a party member in my team not moving before the match start, I kick him fast (so dungeon finder can find a replacement). If I'm not leader and leader does not kick AFK members, I leave or I try to do my best.
sssssh don't say this. There will be hordes of fanboys ready to bash your thread... Fanboy will come and say "Hey, if Craptic/Perfect Scam Entertainment say it's D&D, well, it's D&D". LOL Neverwinter has only some names of classes/skills, places and environments taken from Forgotten Realms campaign settings. Everything…
Forgotten Realms is D&D, ok, but FR is a campaign setting. The core D&D give only rules on how to play in various campaign setting. I just wanted to say that FR is not D&D in its wholeness, FR is only a piece of D&D, because D&D can be a lot of campaign settings. So saying "FR is D&D" is correct, ok, but FR is not the…
The fail edition of D&D? Never played, I read a bit of manuals of it but really that is simply the worst D&D ever made. FR is only one of many campaigg setting. Perhaps for you new players of D&D, born with the bad 4th edition, FR can be D&D, but for who played D&D starting from 1st ed, AD&D (THAC0 what you made me…
Classes in Neverwinter have nothing to share with classes of D&D (or you think calling a class "Guardian Fighter" will be the same that the class in the tabletop game?). Neverwinter has only some environment and names taken from the Forgotten Realm lore (and FR is NOT D&D, just one of many campaign settings)
/quote But people are too fanboy to see the truth behind the shimmering of the new MMORPG. NWO is a standard, classical, theme park based on all the ideas that WoW have (and other MMORPG before and after WoW, WoW it's only the most famous of them). The ONLY unique (in fact I play Neverwinter only for that) aspect of…
Ok. Neverwinter is a standard theme park with gear grind in instances T1-T2 and so on, with holy trinity (there is a tank class, an healer class, ...), with the power of character being higher with higher tier equipment, class based (and without multiclass, just like a real D&D game should have), with a tree of passive…
Both LotRO and NWO are class based, with holy trinity, based on gear grind at endgame Call of Duty or other FPS have no trinity, no gear grind, no instances farm. No Wow-clone
The combat in Neverwinter is not so action. When you use skills you are rooted in place, just like a static combat. You don't select mobs with tab, you select by aiming with the crosshair. No. There are MMO without gear grind, there are MMO without fixed classes, there are MMO without holy trinity. In fact a lot of actual…
No, my first MMO was Ultima Online (in late '90) and in that game equipment was not so important, having full loot people could even go around with basic equipment and still be competitive being good at movement and using of skills. WoW is an Everquest clone (with other ideas taken here and there), sure. The term…
WoW clone does not only mean "static" combat. And Neverwinter combat is just like a WoW combat, only that instead to target mob with tab, you have to aim it with the crosshair. Character is rooted in place while using skills (just like static combat). And both games are based on the holy trinity tank-healer-dps (only in…
Sorry, there are lot of ways to obtain cats and wards for just less money in game (just paying AD that actually are worth very low) or by buying with real money
Actually playing a GF in PvP I must everytime press shift and hope I see BLOCKED. If I see I'm taking damage, I must release and hold shift again, but some damage pass throught because of the bug/lag in the GF block, in PvP it's simply gamebreaking (rogue can stun me a lot of times because of this bug) In PvE, I'm playing…
They won't wipe, it should be clear for everyone now. And they won't even open a new server for who wants a fresh start (the best solution to the AH exploit) So, well, live or leave... they don't seem to be interested in listening to community
They should make a new server for a fresh start for who is interested in a fresh start and keep the actual servers (merging them) for who is not touched or interested by the current bugs/exploits (like me, I play only for the foundry, my "endgame" is trying always new foundry quest, no interest in AH, GF bugs, farming…
You can gain AD in lot of ways, so you exchange that for Zen. The price of zen sold by Perfect World is too much high (or the cost of items is too much high, same thing). They could lower the price of zen or lower price of shop items or people will stop buying zen from them
So there will be a wipe of all the characters at the end of the beta? Otherwise it's release... in fact NWO is in release state, only they call beta to be able to say "eh, there are bugs, it's beta, there is rollback, eh, it's beta"...
