  • Well obviously so you will spend AD to upgrade it...
  • So make the leadership rewards Account bound. At least the refining items. At that point there'd be no reason to bot leadership. I really don't understand how they overuse Bind to Character/Account nearly everywhere else in the game except the places where it actually makes sense. And yes I realize that would be removing a…
  • Google translation: Greetings, adventurer! Unfortunately, we have to announce that the gateway of Neverwinter is set. This decision is not easy for us. The reason for this decision is that the current Gateway site is extremely vulnerable to various aggressive Botting activities. We have tried several times to put the…
  • Is it worth coming back? That depends on how much real world money you have to spend.
  • No thanks. It's already hard enough trying to find an IP that isn't banned via VPN. Since upgrading to Windows 10 using a VPN is the ONLY way I can play NW since for whatever reason it hangs up during the zone loading otherwise. I had it working without VPN but everytime I reboot Windows seems to mess up my network…
  • Glad it works for you. For the rest of us... Can we get a graphics option to "Disable Environmental Effects" or something?
  • I have resolved my issue.. Just in case anyone else has the same problems. I disabled the network driver that Windows 10 installed during the upgrade and installed the driver from my motherboard vendor even though the latest they had was 3 years old and for Windows 8.1. I now no longer need to connect through VPN and my…
  • Just to acknowledge what others have said but yeah, the bonus does not only apply to salvaging. As far as I can tell it also applies to any task that gives AD as a reward. It would have been nice to have an actual explanation post and not leaving it to players to figure out. What was posted in the patch notes was pathetic…
  • No "thanks" coming from me. I logged in, made my way to BS (ha!) and was like.. "Nothing has changed. The screen is still blinding white" and teleported back to PE. Which is fine with me. I've already spent too much time in NW. Now I don't have to bother. Not sure I even encountered the "blizzard" stuff. Just the normal…
  • A (hopefully) simple solution is to make this a toggle option in the graphics. Those that enjoy it, great. Nothing changes for them. Those who don''t can turn it off. For me personally I played two or three tasks then said I've had enough. I indeed now have a headache!
  • Just goes to show that the devs have done a terrible job explaining this change. I still don't fully understand it other than that invoking adds to your bonus pool. Or something.
  • Yet another expansion and people still can't see every thing that is implemented is to maximize people buying Zen. I get it's a F2P game supported by "micro"transactions but really... This is a game made by devs that hate their players (but love their money). Wake up before you spend another dollar!!
  • With the invoking changes, assuming one continues to invoke, does it make sense to do the weeklies on Monday anymore? I would think Sunday would be a better option going forward. But I'm still a bit unclear on how all that "bonus" stuff will work. Maybe it doesn't apply to things like the weekly tasks in which case never…
  • Thanks for the tips. I tried the DNS change and that didn't help with my issue. As far as firewall (it was Windows firewall) and antivirus goes I turned off all protection and still no luck. I also have a HOSTS file. However a friend suggested I try running Neverwinter over VPN and what do you know I was able to get into…
  • I think it should be obvious by now they don't listen to feedback. They just create threads like this to give people a place to vent yet they have no intention of "listening". They then go ahead with whatever change they had planned. Rinse. Repeat. I'm glad I finally got off the treadmill. $10 for a coal ward is ridiculous…
  • Not surprising. I'm glad I stopped spending money on this game after they removed AD from Leadership. Apparently they have decided this current change will get people to spend more money. That's the sole reason for any change they do these days. I'm surprised more people haven't caught on to that by now.
  • I expected them to create more gear you had to spend $ to upgrade/refine (or grind for years). I was not disappointed! Bonus prediction: Module 9 will be no different.
  • Not to mention it's still the same two maps in PVP. At least Domination. Seriously could they not have made a couple more in the past 2+ years to add to the rotation for a bit more variety? Then again they only seem to nerf and take away stuff (AD.. dungeons, anyone?) and not add so I guess that makes sense. No need to…
  • A new expansion released for the sole purpose of getting the players to spend more money... What were people expecting? Everyone should be used to it by now it's not anything new.
  • Is there some reason this couldn't have been put in place at the same time as the Leadership changes? Oh yeah because the number of active players plunged afterwards. Cryptic, reactionary as always. How about outlining your plan BEFORE you make changes that make 90% of the playerbase unhappy?
  • "It is very hard to post responses when it is very clear the only response many of you want to see is that the leadership changes will be reversed." Sorry, I can't buy that. What we would have LIKED to see was some sort of effort put into this change rather than just removing the daily tasks and cutting the AD from the…
  • Before: In the morning I would log in, claim my profession rewards and give them new tasks. Do an invoke or two depending on how much time I had to get ready for work. When I got home I'd run all the campaign areas as I was working on boons for my Paladin. After that I'd usually run a dungeon, occasionally 4 PVP matches…
  • Because I paid $100 for it? I may as well get something from it. If Cryptic wants to give me a refund, sure. But I don't see that happening.
  • My thoughts as well. The "bots" have apparently been an issue for two years. So instead of taking the time to rework the profession and presenting any sort of alternative rewards they rush this though with a weeks notice? Pure laziness and disrespectful to the players.
  • Pretty much. Any nerf to a class, such as damage, the devs have a target mark. Say for example a 25% decrease. So what do they do? Make it a 50% decrease so when everyone flips out and threatens to quit the devs get to set it at what they actually wanted (25%) and get to say "See? We listen to you guys. Keep giving us that…
  • Sure. A small minority that I have seen have been asking for that. Hardly what I'd consider them listening to their player base.
  • Obviously Cryptic doesn't care about feedback or they wouldn't already have this on preview and ready to go live next week. This thread is just a place to let people gnash their teeth but in the end impacts nothing. It's been this way for two years now. The only way to make your voice heard is to not spend your money on…
  • Considering it's already on the preview server and scheduled to go live with the next patch I'd say it's pretty much done.
  • By the way, everyone feel free to send your (polite) feedback to Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro. Let them know that changes like this just end up damaging the brand. I can't see how anyone could recommend this game to their friends now unless their friends have too much money laying around.
  • So basically they just took the existing Leadership professions and removed the AD reward. Wow. Really putting in the effort there, devs. Regardless, thanks for helping me see the light, Cryptic. I wont be spending that much time (or money) in your game anymore.
