Open world pvp in Icewind Dale is totally dead too. There are really no matches going on. Only a player going in the zone for the daily quest every now and then. I think the fact is the pvp campaigns have ruined the causal and fun side of PVP. Now, everybody just moves to the strongest side to shorten the grind.
I don't think you get daily AD if you quit in the middle. You have to stay there to the end to complete the daily. Don't remove the daily. Getting better match up between the two teams can help but it won't stop players from quitting when they are losing and afking just to get daily AD. AFKers lead to uneven matches, that in turn cause give more reason for quitters to bop to another match immediately.
There aren't many bots since the glory rewards are bop. However, there are at least 1 afker or quitter every 2 games. AFKers are there mostly because of the daily domination and GG AD rewards. If somebody leaves I may leave. If somebody AFK I may leave. If somebody cheats I may leave. I think these are the only legitimate reasons for leaving. Most online games have penalties for leaving pvp. It will be fair for the early leavers to take an one hour break from queing again.
PVP is not 1 CW vs 1 TR. It is 5 vs 5. This kind of CW powers set up doesn't deal much damage or offer much control/debuff help to the team. You know why players are leaving more often the last two weeks? The AFKers are back and I don't think many of them get timed-out. I know they don't get glory rewards for not doing anything but do they still get AD for AFKing daily PVP? Realistically, AFKers are not supposed to get 4k AD everyday. This needs to be changed.
