Same has happened to me, I get the mail stating that I have sold my items and nothing is attached. It has happened on about 75% of my auctions. That's about 50k in diamonds that are vanished.

It was a DM made goblin cave, we were horribly out numbered with tons of minions, and the worst aoe rolls ever. almost didn't make it.
