At this point it wouldn't even need to be exclusively a certain path's feat. All three paths suffer from a DPS fallout when using skills like LSS. Obviously Archery suffers the worst but with Trappers constant in and out with LSS is noticeable Aswell.
I agree with everything. I would like to add removing the target cap to Thorned roots and possibly Plant growth Aswell. Other than that, well put. Edit: I forgot to mention working the way party buffs work. The changes won't be noticeable until this is fixed. 👍
Quoting this in hopes of getting more thoughts. Trappers damage would easily be on par with other Classes/specs if played correctly with these changes, imo. I'm not implying that the target cap has to be removed entirely, Devs, just look into maybe raising it to a reasonable number based on damage output, or reducing the…
Any opionions on allowing plant growth to hit more than 5 targets? I believe constricting's roots also have a target cap (correct me if I'm wrong) Maybe make this (PG target cap) exclusively an additional bonus on aTrapper feat? I feel like having a limited number of targets really hurts the DPS, along with the buffs not…

+1 One hundred times. I understand that crushing roots should be tuned down, but don't do it until every class has their CC tuned down as well. Without control we're not much in PVP, and you can see that with the Trans Elven enchants right now.
I hope the Devs see that this forum is LITTERED with people sought out to nerf Trappers rather than help or offer any good suggestions. A solid 60 -70% of this has been "Reduce this, and take this away" rather than giving beneficial input.
I totally agree with the cooldowns from At-wills. Devs claimed we were weak as is, now they slow us down even more? I thought this was supposed to help HR's as a whole, not shoot one in the foot and give the other two ammo.
They'll probably be the last class to be rebalanced IF they even do get a rebalance. This is supposed to bring HR's up to scale with other striker classes, so I have every right to compare the two. What I wish the devs had done was release a preview with the updated powers, but keep SoTF the same (Broken) THEN made…
On paper this SoTF "fix" sounds fantastic, but while you're busy shooting At-wills to remedy your 5s cooldowns that remain after all encounters have been used for a mere 8k (If you're lucky lol), GWFs are using their At-wills hitting 3x as hard, just as fast. I don't think it will play out as well as it sounds, but I'm…
It's not "spamming encounters with no cooldown" There is a cooldown, but it requires conditions and isn't instantaneous all the time. It's also very easy to mess up, ESPECIALLY in PVP. If the case was "Use all your encounter powers in Melee and instantly get your ranged back" Then I'd recommend tweaking, but it's not. I…
It's one thing for people to scream "NERF NERF" and it's another to get a rational post like this. I +1 it over and over again. Please pay attention to the real HR players of NW, Devs!
THIS! ^^^^^^^ Very true, and now I'm noticing that its exactly what Cryptic is doing. Don't shoot Trappers in the foot to make the other two relevant. Just work on their feats! Simple.
Totally agree. This nerf is in place to make Archery and Combat look useful rather than offering a buff to the paths themselves and it's ridiculous. #15, #11, #17 all points to be noted. The issue and number one complaint in PVP is from the "crushing roots" Class feat, not our ability to have seemingly endless rotations,…
What is the cooldown for the charges for steel breeze? is it three second for a charge to come back, or is it like hindering shot where you have 3 charges that have a cooldown on top of a recharge for each charge? What is the gap like for a Trapper HR now?
