Well, it was for a little bit... went back down at 12:29EST 10/27. Sheesh, no sooner than I saw your post, I fired it up, got back in... made it to the bank, then got the "server not responding" count and then... disconnected. F-it. I'm going to go do something fun.
Yeah, Elder Scrolls Online had a sweet 100,000 gold reward on the last consecutive day of the month (think it was September 2018), and I had missed ONE log-in and didn't get it. Was a bummer. Still, they would give a free crate/box (equivalent of a Key here) or some potions, etc. Not great gifts, but they didn't need to…
Thanks for confirming this. I suspected as much, and it is a bit of a let-down that a "universal" class item cannot be trasmuted to a class-item. Oh well.
You do know that it takes like 5 minutes sitting at a campfire to heal a minor injury, right? Major injuries (and critical?) take longer. Hopefully it is only a graphical glitch (forgetting to show the removal icon). I've sat in campfires/portable altars, went to do something else, and when I came back was healed (even…
I've seen similar work-arounds for a graphics issue (I had it in NW and STO, involving post-processing and screen ambient something-er-other). Anyway, when the game would hang, I'd hit CRTL+ALT+DEL (windows' three-finger salute) and click the cancel button, go back to desktop and the app would be fine. That said, I wonder…
So I take a break from Neverwinter because it keeps killing my connection, and fire up PW's ARC launcher and load Star Trek Online... game is completely fine for a couple of days, and then BAM! Internet connection killed. Same like in NW, just sitting there doing little/nothing (i.e. at bank, talking to npc, etc).…
The only raids they're likely going to have is from the FBI / Secret Service, backed by the Federal Reserve for getting into the 'cyber-cash" game and competing with them at making money out of thin air... You think the Money Masters want to allow anyone else to digitally create money like they do? The only reason it's…
Except you have to TRANSFER zen to a game, and unless you bought a good chunk and only sent a little to NWO, you'll not get any of NWO-zen back into PW zen for their other games. I've got lots of zen in Champions, and it's locked in there (talk about another futureless Cryptic dog MMO).
I'm pretty certain s/he was being fecitious. As pvp doesn't work in any MMO, and the sort/inventory are hosed, and Castle Never is a mess. But not as much as GG or the intr0znet-connection-killing bug. On the bright side, there's more stuff to buy in the store! And there's a promo, making you want to spend more and more on…
You get my vote for most detailed screen shot ever! :/ Check your network icon in the taskbar's tray. See if, when the game does this, there is the yellow alert triangle on it. Several people are having issues where Neverwinter client and/or the Launcher are hosing their actual connections.
You lost me there! How on Earth can you say injury kits are expensive? Other than potions and kits, what good is gold & silver in this game? (Ok, maybe if you're silly enough to try crafting, or desperate for the bad equipment in the marketplace). Once you buy the 5g mount, it's all consumables. I can't seem to make my…
I have an issue where I cannot transmute my ugly TR assassin head piece (purple / very rare) to the pirate hat (blue / rare). I brought up the change appearance dialogue, but when I drag the blue pirate hat into the slot, it gives the red "X" saying I can't drop that there... What gives? Do transmog items have to be the…
Yeah, and clicking sort again puts it all back where it was before. My guess is that someone thought an "undo" with the sort would be cool, and just flat-out hosed the inventory subroutines. But I can only speculate. Since I can't play, thanks to the internet-killing bug... :(
For any City of Heroes former players out there, think: TRAIN DOORS. They just broke one day for no apparent reason, and never ever got fixed; it was, after all, just a small thing. Who cares, right? I see many train doors in this game, and it's not even a month out of "beta" (most would argue it never comes out of beta).…
It's not as bad as the cheap psychological "spend, spend, spend" the game uses the Admin channel for. So-and-so just got an epic mount! (i.e. now you go buy a key or box because you can be next!) They don't like gold-sellers because they don't like competition. It's their game, it's theirs to sell gold to us. Even better…
I fear the same thing, except the skeleton crew IS the original staff. What is their motivation for fixing anything? F2P survives on care bears ("oooo, a new princess outfit! Here's my wallet!") and new players trying it out and probably spending a few bucks in the virtual store... how are those two things caring about…
Those level 20 leadership "tasks" also CONSUME three (3) marks of gratitude and one (1) siege engine (or region map OR mining claim, depending on which mission is available) each. That's 4 blue "items" that one has to acquire either through leadership grinding or rare box/drops. Read the Wiki on Leadership carefully before…
Alternately, if you go into the Options and interface settings, there are a couple buttons that show up on the bottom of the option window (Save UI and Load UI) - ironically, these actually save not just the UI but your chat settings and your keybinds, yet they only show up on the UI options section. (Sorry I do not…
As stated in a multitude of other threads, the launcher has some serious bugs in it. For me, and many others, it actually kills our internet! Sometimes I can get into the game before it does, other times, it happens moments after the launcher is run. Sad day for Cryptic, indeed.
They definitely hosed their launcher (and game) for quite a few people. For me, and others, it goes so far as to kill our actual internet connection. Chokes the modem and everything. The modem recovers after a couple minutes, but I can see in my task bar (I play windowed) that the internet connection gets the yellow…
So that is what our GWF is screaming about on Mumble when he curses his TAB key into oblivion! Heh, I told him to search the forums, but most players do not. Ironically, since my launcher is killing my internet (and thus I cannot play), I can post here on his behalf. This happens all the time to him in Dungeon runs (PvE)…
OK, so I wanted to see how long I could play before it killed my connection... I opened the launcher... almost finished typing my password when BAM! internet connection lost! Did not even get to fire up the game! I did notice the launcher updated right before this all started happening, so I am placing the blame there.
Not sure the server (Dragon) has much to do with it. Happened to me on Beholder, so it's likely bigger than a single server's issue. I hope they fix it soon; NW is off limits in my house (my kids and I all played) until I hear it's resolved.
