Ah well, that's the first I've heard of these potions. Sounds like that's the only way currently in the game to get rid of them without wasting AD. Too bad I have no characters that haven't already turned the last key in. Guess I just wait around and hope they fix the bug at some point.
Hmm, I don't feel like that really addresses the actual issue people are concerned about. The complaints/confusion about HoF are in context to the overall state of the cleric. Looking at HoF in isolation, it may be reasonable to feel like "whoa, it's clearly doing too much damage", but considering it was the ONLY burst…
Just wanted to chip in as well to hopefully get some notice/response. The devs claim they make these moves based on "feedback", but I challenge them to find the complaints that clerics, and Hammer of Fate in particular, were doing too much damage. Someone at Cryptic internally must have been butthurt by getting beat down…
Well, it's possible that you had a bugged quest, but more likely you missed something or didn't realize you got a free key. I've done it twice already and the leprechaun always has the free key available once you unlock his quest.
"Clerics are doing too much damage", said no one ever. Of all the things that get complained about and desperately need balancing, this one makes the list? I don't even know, man. I know people rip on devs with silly stuff like "omg do they even play the game lol"...but seriously guys, you're making me wonder.
Oh come on people. RNG is RNG. I ran over 60 runs before finally getting a companion drop. In the same period, I got 6 of the DC weapons. I don't care about the weapons, which kinda sucks, but that's how randomness works. Of all the problems in the game, this has got to be the dumbest thing to whine about.
I just tried to startup again and my error has now changed to "Timeout during login" after it tries retrieving character list. No access to any of my characters on the day NW launches live is pretty disappointing. I'll take the beta back... :(
I just got this same error. My inventory went wonky. So I relogged and now I'm locked out at "Player Booting Failed". I did the Gauntlgrym thing earlier and I believe right before things went nutty it randomly consumed one of the scroll item thingies it gives you in the Gauntlgrym area.
I just ran several dungeons with different groups, all had solid gear and played well enough. My take-away message? WIZARDS CAN NOT HANDLE THE NEW AGGRO. :P Melee classes seemed to manage the aggro ok, but wow those CWs were getting shredded, particularly with the AS downtime. I really think that's going to be a big…
Still, OP says that they did nothing but ban his account and delete his character. That's clearly not true. He may not be satisfied with the AD/Zen refund plus 2500 Zen, but that's at least an acknowledgement that something got screwed up and they're trying to make up for it, even if it's not enough for him.
So quick question: if the Evocation "aoe" bonus only applies to certain spells, does that mean the two aoe-damage-increasing feats in the basic tree (Wizard's Wrath, Focused Wizardry) have the same restrictions? I'm lvl60 now and about ready to use my free respec and I'd really like to know if Conduit, Shard, Sudden Storm,…
