  • Irony or care to elaborate on this "awesomeness"?
  • At OP, this game is for whales. If you can't find enjoyment being a minnow then probably should move on.
  • I love the changes to the Fighter but ...
  • My $0.02 on new Pally (as a person who also plays GF): It feels like slow GF. Damage is actually adequate for bits but you have to only slot one power that spends divinity b/c anything else is a waste of time. Blocking just feels passive compared to the GF where you can still attack. At least before you had a minor heal…
  • So, fwiw, I got a token yesterday but not today. And by got a token I mean it didn't show up in my inventory but it does show up in the store panel at the bottom.
  • 100 times? 50 times? Are they paying this person to be professional QA? If not, you should rethink your standards of bug reporting here.
  • They don't lack for content. There is oodles of content available (for free to the company) via the Foundry. It is the way the have chosen to implement character progression and how they monetize it that creates the grind. Or, more to the point, they tied character progression (via campaigns and resource acquisition) to…
  • They could always normalize gear so it only affects the general stat layout but not the overall power level of the players. Then they would need to make the PvP rewards be AD and cosmetic items. Ofc, you would hear all kinds of crying from many (but not all) veterans who have their legendary items and perfect what-nots.…
  • You're not alone, bro. In fact, i posted a thread from another game which explains really nicely this point of yours... and some devs on this game, together 80% of player base should read it and understand it completly. @clonkyo1 @ilsilenzioso I have a serious question that I hope will not be interpreted as an attack…
  • Actually, this thread isn't supposed to be all about "balance" at all. From the original post: "We’d like you all to focus on playing the class in various content and giving us feedback. There are many changes that are meant to work together as a whole, so we'd appreciate feedback after playing with the changes, more than…
  • If the game actually rewarded you for being a "defender/controller" that would be fine. But it doesn't. This is why Control Wizards by and large go for damage and/or buffs despite being called a "Controller/Striker" class (in supposed order of priority). Face it, the majority of the content (all the zone dailies for…
  • @metalldjt I say thank you for the additional context. That is even more interesting than before. What I think about it in general is the following: From a game system perspective, they need to institute severe diminishing returns on every stat and put flat, small stacking bonuses on every ability for EVERY class to try to…
  • There is no proof of that in said video. Just that the GF did more damage.
  • @clonkyo1 That was impressive. However, I did not see the part where the relative gearing was shown. Is there a time index on that?
  • Most of the game is PvE and even if you PvP all the time you will still need to PvE (or an open wallet) to gear up for PvP if you want to be "the best". Given that, CW is the way to go. It can complete most of the PvE content faster than the GF. Much faster. Which means more resources to pour into your PvP. P.S. I should…
  • So the resonance tasks are level 21, right? And it takes hundreds (if not thousands) of hours to level leadership to that point if you are very assiduous about it...right? And although you make it sound kind of offhand about picking up stuff via DHE, you didn't say how much you play or which version of them you have. Big…
  • I find it difficult to take reading comprehension advice from someone with your own particular disabilities in that area. But, to your point, yes the "community" cried for a lot of things. Guess what? Customers want what they want and it turns out that doesn't usually make for the best product. Do you think Apple does…
  • I pretty much reject your entire thesis. These are big boys and girls and they are running a company. They knew what they were doing (or thought they did) and they aren't stupid. They mishandled the community by either giving in or setting up massive paywalls and imbalances to keep the cash flowing in. This led to content…
  • If this is part of some great and awesome plan to even out the economy AND smooth out the progression so you don't need to either put down a car payment or be a no-lifer who can't afford a car payment (or one of those who takes advantage of AD/resource exploits from one of their many, many, many, many previous bugs) to get…
  • Whales are an endangered species. Gotta protect them.
  • I just came back to this game about three weeks ago after a long break and I also have the same gaming pedigree you have so here is my take on it fwiw. The VIP is generally speaking worth it if you like playing the game. Not for the AD resales value (unless you are lucky) but just because it makes for a nice little bonus…
  • The answer may change depending on your iLevel. Mine is 2.2k and I just came back to the game about three weeks ago to check it out again. I have tried a Swordmaster Protector build and an Iron Vanguard Conqueror build. The Prot build would be much better for dungeon runs. The Conq build for doing all the daily content…
  • I just came back for a bit after a long, long hiatus. Here is my assessment: Kind of fun, but if you can't handle grinding then you are not going to be happy. Even if they smooth out the 60-70 experience, you are just going to run into another grind wall at 70 when you try to rank up your artifacts and enchantments and…
  • Yeah....the rush at beating a hard challenge the first time is often pretty cool. So after fighting so hard to overcome this what did you get out of it as a reward? Some more green gear? A few tokens toward some gear? Oh....so now you go get to do it again. Well that will probably be nearly as fun. Great...a few more…
  • No software shop in its right mind will ever stop to fix all the bugs. New money is brought in by features. Players are retained by bug fixes but since this is not a sub game, player retention is not as high a priority as new feature development. Not saying it is the way it should be, but that is the way it is.
