Read the earlier posts that seem to relate to my issue but I haven't been able to resolve it. I'm stuck at the first forest - after killing the bandits and reading the construction sign. I then walked around the side, killed some spiders, picked a box and got spider venom. Now I'm in the semi-circular area with mushrooms.…

Same same. But I think the book is 'there' but its place marker and icon are under the stone. When I go there I can see what looks like a small corner of the book showing from under the stone. But it's too small to trigger the required 'interact' action. cheers MikeC
