There is quite some info about the foundry in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAgopEEt5Sc click 'developer interview' at the start. It also speaks about the scaling of content. I think in NW the content scales better than in STO and there is no level requirement. But they were still toying with that.

To me the foundry will be a tool to create lore and events for my guild. We won't pay anything for foundry access. Yes, we do the developers' work, but seeing as this is one of the few MMO's where we can, we should be happy and thankful ;)

What I said is that they'd probably premake some, but give the option to make your own for cash. If they update it to the foundry for free they'd probably miss out on too much income.

From a business perspective they could make more money with pre-made guild halls. However, I'd say they release pre-made halls, but also 'build packs' for the foundry guild halls. (I prefer it free, but let's be realistic, these gais need moneys.)

I do believe I saw it stated that the 'official launch' is basically -open beta- and that characters made in the open beta (which the founders get early access to) will not be wiped when the game goes 'gold'.
