I have 2/5 in Learned Spellcaster and 3/3 in prestidigitation. I am more of a team support type player so it seemed a natural fit. But i'm not a human. If I was I'd definitely go 5/5 in Learned and 3/3 in Prestidigitation
The only problem is, which I just realized *facepalm*, I'm not a human, but renegade drow. So I don't have those extra three feat points. Would it be better to go 3/3 Prestidigitation and 2/5 Learned Spellcaster, or just 5/5 Learned Spellcaster?
More survival is what I'm looking for really. In a good group, I do fine. The crits are nice, and I can CC pretty well. But in a not so good group, I get squashed more often that I'd like. I mostly pug, and doing T2 right now, and I wanted to have a build that wasn't so squishy and can keep adds useless so the real damage…
I love the idea of a battle mage, and I've considered respeccing my lvl 60 Renegade to Oppressor. Less for the chill stacks and more for CC and survival. I wanted to make a mage tank, but wasn't sure if the respec was worth it and if the idea would actually work.
The best way to counter a wizard in PvP is another wizard, or group up. I play a wizard, and yes 1 v 1 I can be dangerous, if I'm not stunlocked by a rogue constantly, but it definitely can be countered with team work. CC is subpar in PvE as it is, so I hope it's not nerfed for the sake of PvP.
I'm having a hard time with my CW, but maybe I'm just playing it wrong. I hit 35 yesterday, and the higher I get the more difficult I find it staying alive, especially when soloing. I usually run with one other person (a TR), but even then, I'm always always below 50% health. If I'm soloing, I can go through 20-30 heal…
Control Wizard all the way... I played the Demo at Umloud in San Francisco, and I can safely say this is the game I am most looking forward to. I would love to be a part of the alpha test.
