I think this change is telling of their mindset. The ones hurt most are solo/casual players, eg. those who probably spend the least $$ on the game. Who cares about them amirite? Bye! We only want the hardcore addicts to funnel their money into NWO.

I agree on a few points there, Cryptic is similar to cigarette companies in the way they poison their users and it is our obligation to refuse their products and services. It is a FIOS/Verizon issue, or at least every person so far having this issue is a FIOS subscriber. As a note, my friend who also has FIOS says that pirate bay is no longer working for him either, I wonder if Verizon is draconianly blocking ports and NWO just happened to get caught up in it?

I agree with this sentiment. I didn't change anything on my end, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to give this company my money. At least some sort of acknowledgement that there is a problem and they are fixing it maybe? Nope, just ignore your paying customers. :(
