Didn't they also publish Blacklight? I'm not familiar with it, but I've heard that it's not necessary to spend any money on the game to enjoy it.

But don't you get AD's from doing stuff in the game and can't you just keep putting up on the AH until it sells? Also, isn't Perfect World just the publisher? We would have to look at Cryptic's track record to get an idea for how it will work. Regardless, all the complaining won't do anything. It's a free to play game.…

Bear in mind that on the WoW forums the next expansion is always the end of WoW... Basically what I'm saying, the forums for a game always have the most negative feedback.

I haven't played it, but it seems like most of the complaints are coming from people who don't want to play the game for a long time to earn points. Bear in mind the game is technically not out yet.

To my understanding, you can get money by just playing the game. Isn't it just possible that they either want people playing the game a lot or they make money? Either way it's a win win for them.

Even still, every game forums are full of complaints. Gears of War, World of Warcraft, Halo, even The Elder Scrolls. While I agree the prices are steep, complaining merely means people care.

I have a question about the game. Is it a good free to play game where you only pay for convenience, or is it absolutely necessary to dish out a lot of money before having fun? Basically if I only want to spend about $50 on the game will I still be able to have fun, or will it be like LOTRO where I need to buy the quests.
