i am unsure however even if that were the case i wouldn't use them do to defensive and deflect has complete effect over the damage. Armor pen has no adjustment for tene damage. I know you can toggle the encounter off and on but I hate wasting half the encounter because I am unable to target other enemies. This reducing the effectiveness of this spell.
