I had a DC with 55K IL doing Hell Pit and still die many times since the latest patch. Seems they had made the scaling pretty bad for high IL players. The purple companion gears did drop at a low rate, for me it was less than 1%. However I did got two 1350 IL items and one 1300 IL. I have a dozen toons working on it since day one everyday, so don't be too discourage.

I have a DC around 54+IL, a Barbie and OP aroound 52+ IL, I can tell you that they are not much better than any other 34 IL characters. They look good but didn't preform good because of the scaling system.

As far as balancing is concerned, this game is now toally out of control. Some areas are ok and some areas are not, some dungeons are doable and some don't. I am one of the endgame players that had max out everything but I still struggle after the patch, hope this will make you feel better. LOL

Forget about doing endgame dungeons for now, at 53K/54 K IL and all mounts and companions at max, I couldn't even pass the first boss in IC, it was not that hard before the patch, besides the game keep crashing which never happen before.

I am an old player. I had spend thousands of dollars and hours in this game. I went through mod 16 and I didn't quit and so I guess I won't quit now eventhough it is just as bad, but that doesn't mean I am happy with the new patch and changes. I still have one of my end game characters missed out one boon beause she cannot get anymore quests in Spinward Rise, I guess they just don't have the time to fix the bugs.

Just to update my own experience of drop rate. You still can get no map at all for an hour farming but you can also get more than 10 maps or more. After the patch today the drop rate of treasure maps seems average one map per 100 mobs and the chance of getting the weapon set is super easy compare to what was before. I have spend at least over 60 hours( for maps only) to get little more than 65 maps, got one main hand and lots of other useless armors and other stuffs. I don't know how the hell other players could get so much more maps, grinding day and night the whole week long ?

its all about whether you have AOE attacks and how bad you got scaling down, as a 27K DC with lots of playing experience I don't find it fun or enjoyable.

I was going to buy some Zen because of the bonus sale but now I am holding it back because of the bonding Nerf, I will wait and see if this game still worth playing.
