And the entire purpose of healing surges is so you can heal on your own without some sort of outside help. In 4th edition, after every fight you take a "short rest," which refreshes your encounter powers and allows you to spend healing surges to heal up all by yourself. So, 4e has exactly the sort of thing I'm saying…
I actually love this about the game. It's why I made a tank; I thought it would be more active and mobile and exciting than in other games. Unfortunately, the Guardian Fighter is by far the LEAST maneuverable of any class. Pressing shift makes everyone else sprint or dodge; if you're a GF, it actually makes you slower. But…
Yeah, boosting out of combat regen would be a perfectly adequate solution. Or borrowing straight from D&D 4e, where you take a "short rest" after a fight and heal up (I'm imagining a little "short rest" button that makes your character take a deep breath, wipe the sweat from their forehead, and regain 25% HP.) And skill…
Yeah, the kits are supposed to do that. Mouse over them, and it says "...with a 75% chance of success." Which means a 25% chance of failure and kit breaking. It's not a bug.
Well, loot is an issue. If a group of high-level and low-level players do a dungeon, what level loot should drop? But that problem has several solutions, and I agree that MMOs are always best when they have ways for friends to play together. It's sort of the point! On the upside, once you're all max level it won't be a…
Celestial Coin boxes, for the people who lost their CC. Everything else is gravy. As a previous poster said, leveling up is already plenty fast. Who really wants to get an XP boost and play less game? And I wouldn't expect anything permanant or zenny, like a bag or mount. That's a bit much to ask for a 7-hour rollback…
I figure the apology boxes will probably have some ward pack stuff in them, because so many people lost their Celestial Coins. So, I'm not too worried.
Yeah, you only lose Celestial Coins, which only allow you to buy little boxes of profession materials or enchantments. There's no reason to ever save more than seven Celestial Coins. I had 6, and lost them because of the downtime! But that's why they're going to send out apology boxes, so, it's all good.
You know, I came to this forum to complain about losing my Celestial Coins. But then I read the first post of this thread, and WOW, I don't care THAT much. It's a Beta, stuff happens, not like I lost any money. And hey, word is they're mailing out an apology gift to everyone! Right decent of them. And the downtime was…
