Thanks for the playthrough and feedback! I'm planning to continue adding polish to give greater context and lore into the adventure as well as other bits to lead up to the next adventure.
There is an easier way to do this. I do this in my adventure (see sig). When using the default door option for connected rooms in my dungeon select the portcullis costume. Under the "Appear When" box, you make it appear when the objective after getting the key is active and can disappear when that objective is complete.…
On a completely unrelated *read: totally related* note: I got in the beta for FFXIV and the game looks amazing. The crafting is really cool, best I've seen in any game. The graphics are top-notch. Gameplay is really nice and smooth too. And so far the story is compelling. But it doesn't allow users to generate content. If…

I think if I played an adventure that just reused some names from pop culture I'd think the author wasn't original enough to think up his own names. But if you use those as a sub-story or in passing reference for the purpose of parody or criticism (which it sounds like you're doing) then it can probably be quite effective.…
I tried to accept the quests when I applied for review, but there were only 5 adventures and none of them showed up on my search. Looking at the spreadsheet now, I see many more adventures so I'll try again.
Looking for reviews on Forgotten Treasure Part1. Willing to trade. The adventure takes 15-20 minutes and has a good balance of story, fighting, and puzzles. Another feature is different paths for different classes (Yes, as a rogue you'll put your trap disarming to good use, but don't need to worry about traps much if you…
Another option would be to actually have some kind of story element there where you have the objective. For example, if they're trying to track down some big boss. Leave different clues for the player to find. This way you can use it as an excuse to put more story elements into what normally might be a dry section of an…
Hey, I know I missed posting for the deadline for the AD prize. But I would appreciate if you would still go through and review mine. It should take you 15-20 mins. Short code is in my sig.
Similar to runis, I don't really listen to music when I'm working on an adventure unless I'm previewing music to put into the game. I want to make sure I'm in the right mood at the right time so I can focus on maximizing the experience. Like pris or lolsorhand I would love more music in the game. Or at least swap music…
The Moonstone mask bartender when the response says "What work?" a grammar issue "He are a looking a new tale that it can surprise the audience" -> "He is looking for a new tale that can surprise the audience." and then "My sister and I had a great idea" not "My sister and me, we had a great idea". And then instead of "You…
Overall, great job on the quest [5 star]. Unfortunately, I failed it :( . Maybe it was just by chance, or that I really didn't take time to explore everything, but I didn't see any of the special items mentioned. I did pick up on the illusionary walls quick, I think. I like that touch. I liked the riddle at the beginning,…
If everyone's too scared to go outdoors, why is Sophie outdoors? What makes her different? Clever use of a stool as a signpost. I looked at it for a little while before I figured out exactly what you did. The door at the patience signpost opens the wrong way. I think zbkolde mentioned I had some of those too. The only way…
Try adding an interact animation to the potion you drink to enter the man's dream. Talking to the game developer seems to have a little too much dialogue. I'd recommend getting to the point faster. I think the last encounter was too hard. At level 35 I died twice and used up about 10-15 potions. And it really sucked having…
Good for a first adventure. Same advice as crok2. I looked at the quest tab and was not looking forward to it. If you're goal is to try and guide the player through the dungeon, I'd recommend rally points instead of killing monsters. Perhaps break up the monotony with a puzzle or two. Quests of just "kill X monster" belong…
I'll try it again after work... But I was thinking during my drive to work about the story. I know you're not focusing on story but I think this is important, and I'm not sure if this is taken care of with the changes you just made. But the story doesn't have closure. At the beginning you thrown in the dungeon for…
There was some wierd fight before I went into exile, but I couldn't figure out what was going on. The adventure was pretty short. I liked the content you had in there, just put more in. More rooms with bad guys will be good. Also, adjust the height on the treasure chest at the end. It is below the ground but just high…
I got stuck trying to kill the Lunar guardians. I thought I killed them all, but the quest didn't progress. Any ideas? Feel free to review my adventure in my sig.
It comes down to contractions. Even though the words sound the same they mean different things. I never rely on grammar check... Example: your - possessive meaning that it belongs to you you're - short for you are which describes something about you.
Check out my adventure! http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?372812-NW-DDTLPFIKS-Forgotten-Treasure-Pt1 NW-DDTLPFIKS : Forgotten Treasure Pt1 Quest 1: "You're lost but..." Bears are solitary animals for the most part, so it's kind of wierd to see 4 clumped up together. The really cool place that Sgt Payne has…
