It's totally reasonable that content designed to be completed by 2 or 3 10K below average players can be soloed by much higher geared players. It would be absurd if it couldn't be.
Personally I go back to Sharandar and Dread Ring for the dailies. But then I like solo PVE content. There was mention of post 60 advancement (I haven't seen any details on that though) so going back for XP seems worthwhile. Obviously, completing all the boons is worthwhile.
Based on preview/patch notes I've already concluded that I would never PvP in this game again. Although to be fair I was pretty much at that point before the patch as well.
Another way to explain it (and likely what is happening internally) is that the damage from one buff is applied and then the second buff is applied to that total instead of the base damage. For example let's say you do 100 damage (for easy math). The first buff is applied 100 * 1.40 = 140 then the second buff is applied to…
As a renegade I run tabbed chill strike - decent damage and AOE. I use as an opener to proc bitter cold shard - Great damage, prones, etc. steal time - CC's, good damage, wide area of effect. downside - Slow to cast and easy to interrupt sudden storm - Crazy damage. The one skill that never leaves my bar. Magic missile -…
"There are runs where we can safely complete, and there are runs where we just wipe in 30 seconds. I don't quite understand what is the defining factor between the successful ones and the non-successful ones" The biggest problem I see in ToS is the other party members which result in the 30 second wipes. At the beginning…
One thing I didn't see mentioned was that COI's debuff only applies when the skill is active on a mob and limited to mobs within AOE range and cap (5?). At best this is 50% of the time (as the CD is roughly twice as long as the skill lasts depending on recovery, etc.). This can be much less if you put COI on a squishy mob…
"Are these GS adequate for the Dracolich fight?" Not really. Sure someone will come in and say the beat the fight solo, naked, on a level 1 toon, while playing blindfolded, after walking up hill in the snow to reach their Atari 2600 which they mod'ed to play neverwinter. But back in the real world average players aren't…
Low drop rate for a BOE item is fine. But they should include a BOP version you can buy for seals. Even if it's hundreds of seals it's something you can work towards.
I don't carry any extra sets around with me. In my bank I have every T2 set. But I almost never switch gear. Even for PvP. Honestly, I really don't care. I rarely PvP and after this update I will never PvP but it just seemed like a good idea.
So is there going to be another gear tab for PvP gear? Or are we expected to carry two sets in our bags and switch back and forth hoping to not accidently delete, salvage, or sell them?
Play style has a LOT to do with damage. The "zerg ahead" guy gets to hit all the squishy one shot mobs getting the kill buffs that go along with it. Yes, OF straight after isn't bad unless the sing killed all the squishies (which often occurs now).
I was about to ask a similar question. When I first got the wild hunt rider I was completely disappointed. At the green level I rarely noticed the text coming up. So eventually I fired up ACT and did dailies etc. ACT confirmed what I was seeing, the buff rarely procced. I was about to bail and go back to my 300 power…
Actually, I would really like to see the ability to use salvageable items for refinement. I.E. - drag any item that can be salvaged onto the refinement panel. Base it's RP value on it's salvage value. For example a T2 weapon can be salvaged for 10,000 AD or refined for 2,500 RP. This would make Drake seals worth something…
I originally skipped the wild hunt rider because I didn't think it would trigger on AOEs (I assumed 1 in 20 encounter skills). But with AOE procs, I will be getting one. Wish I knew that before I dumped 1.5 mil into a stat companion.
Yep massive lag, disconnects, "lost connection to server" messages. Especially during DD when the population is up. In fact right now I just got DC'ed and can't reconnect. If this is any indication DD will be unplayable again.
* Change interacting to another player to anything but F. 99% of the time I want to loot something, check mail, buy from vendor, etc. not interact with the person who just ran in front of me while I was trying to do that. Shift F maybe? * Change double clicking a companion to summoning it not going to the idle tab. *…
I did the actual math, thanks. Even went as far as writing software to simulate thousands of combines back when this was in test. As I said, this as been beaten to death already. So moving on, thanks for the discussion.
I don't really want to get into a math debate. As this subject was really beaten to death in the test forums. But yes, I did make a mistake (probably more than one). I forgot the rank 7 needed to make the rank 8 so the new cost is slightly higher for wards. As for my math I calculated what it would cost to upgrade my R8's…
I had all R8's at the start of MOD2 and working on making R9's. I agree that the costs in wards and enchants are less but the reagents drive up the cost. Old way I needed 768 R4's plus my current R8. Now you need 640 (with bonus even less). At going rates that's about a 64K savings. But at the same time you need to make 1…
