Level 60 gwfs can crush rogues with their hp regen + defense cds combined with that ninja 4 way downward slam attack I forget the name of. In any real pvp scenario a gwf + mage can destroy a rogue in 2 - 3 seconds and a cleric can't do anything to save them due to how squishy they are.
I strongly disagree with reducing player health. If anything, players do way too much damage at max level right now relative to health pools. All 3 dps can reliably get 12k crits on players who have in full epics 25k hp. Compared to any other level range, where the low quality weapons meant you would at most crit for 25 -…
I was able to queue at soon as I hit 60 for the 2 entry level epic dungeons, and they aren't hard. Though for time invested, if you win your pvp matches you can get the entire pvp set in two days (which I did) versus needing to run dozens of epic dungeons at 30+ minutes due to absurd amounts of trash to get a single piece…
This is a cop out excuse. If you don't game the auction house (which isn't adding AD to the economy, it is removing it through AH fees) you will only ever generate around 20k AD a day max if you are doing every daily (including the absurdly time consuming skirmish / foundry dailies at 60 that take 3 and 4 runes…
I get this is a troll post, but all they really need to do to the TR is double the damage on shadow strike, half the animation duration, half the cd, double the snare, and reduce the stealth return to 30% of a bar and make it return 10% more per extra point investment in addition to damage, nerf lashing blade to only get…
The lockboxes are just like the crates from TF2, and nobody complains about those. There is nothing wrong with giving convenience and cosmetic items in a bonus gamble game for people that want to spend a dollar and a half on a key. That is how microtransactions work well. It is about the only well implemented part of their…
It is also worth mentioning that at max level, the GWF counters rogues really hard with their stuns and big burst encounters. In practice you want a gwf on the rogue cleaving their team and soaking damage while your defender is peeling and your rogue is on their cleric.
Also, it is hardly a beta when you can buy content, characters are permanent, and it is openly playable by anyone. I just think they want to call it a beta to save face when these issues happen =\
The difference is whether or not it is actual game design or against the ToS. Cryptic *wants* players selling the best gear on the AH so more people buy zen. It makes any sense of progression worthless though, since there *will* be plenty of high end gear sales on the AH for precious diamond -> zen conversions and throws…
Biggest benefit of the GF that goes unmentioned is that he enables bosses to be kept relatively in one place rather than spinning around cleaving the dps. This means everyone (not just the rogue) gets reliable attacks of opportunity on it, which will contribute more dps than having an extra dps in there. And later leveling…
I actually like the stealth mechanic a lot more in this game than in most games where stealth is permanent out of combat invisibility with no in battle use. It helps offset the squishiness of the TR by givng them on demand invisibility. You regenerate it by doing your job, not getting hit while not stealthed and doing…
Also, you have to buy champions in LoL, and the 6k IP point ones can take a week each of ranked matches to grind out. It isn't completely cosmetic when your ability to counter play your opponents hinges on you owning a vast swathe of the champion select pool and take is very time consuming (I played for almost an entire…
No game is ever high quality enough for a subscription anymore. Even SWTOR bombed. It is nice to have the subscription model as an option for people who want to commit for some time to the game and not worry about the pay to win aspects. I don't think you could make a successful subscription MMO with any amount of effort…
It is disheartening that people who aren't actually capable of playing the game can get the best gear in it with RL money, but I find the gameplay fun. I won't buy anything from the store since it is so pay to win with the BOE gear though.
