That's why a higher HP pool with less regen is prefered, as HP will not have diminishing returns and you will be able to have better stat values in other areas after reaching 10-11% regen in total.
Biggest problem right now for the HR would be double main weapons. I do feel that Cryptic messed it up by giving the same character the ability to fully use archery with melee abilities, but not give us the opportunity to do one or the other. Like 4th Edition DnD is supposed to be. any kind of nerf to the HR will not…
Great explanation and now I totally get it. I was thinking it was refinement costs to get to the next rank and I couldn't make sense of that after checking the values ingame. Thx Noxisst
a GWF should be subject to kiting more than anything. In pvp you skill towards mobility, you make sure you can keep your target in melee range with your abilities and people who believe they can stand toe2toe with a GWF, should not think they would know anything about balance. It's like saying that a TR shouldn't be able…
I hate to break it to you OP, but this list is far more complete than yours and updated quite frequently. Enjoy! http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Promotional_Item_Giveaway_Codes
Just a question related to companions. Is the lvl 16 quest reward companion the only companion you get for free? What is next in line in terms price and effectivity?
But you gimp your dps if you do not; shift stance, use some of the ranged abilities. Pure melee should be an option. They could rework Tab into a stance that would benefit only melee and only archery. Hybrid is the only non-gimped melee type character. I was personally looking forward to another dual wielding character,…
But there is no pure melee ranger unless you want to gimp yourself. If you are pure melee, then you will never shift between stances. If you don't shift between stances, you gimp yourself. I was really discouraged about the ranger because of this and now will invest time in a TR and GWF instead.
@ Tgnalfen 27 str? You must be mistaken. It is not possible to start with 20 str as half orc since it is your secondary main attribute. 18 is the highest you can achieve from character creation, giving a possible 25 str with campfire buff.
It is possibly the best way you could start. Adding all the numbers will give a total of 81 stats. This is the highest achievable amount of ability scores you can get from character creation. I would even say that is balanced as well since you will end up with 26/23/16/14/14/14 with campfire buffs. This would be the best…

I would say that any build can have at least three 20's with campfire. A question regarding rotiations. I haven't been able to test anything at level 60 yet, but I am really curious as to how rotations work on each of the builds; Archer, Hybrid and Melee. Perhaps a topic around these would help a lot of new players. I ask…
@ Thraexis Only if you are determined to have high stat-based dps only. The way you prioritize your stats makes you focus on dps alone. Voltomey also addresses that having high intelligence can increase your dps due to more up time on encounters/dailies.
After going through the ability scores, there is a concern as to how many stats you would want on the ranger. There are ability rolls of 81 which is the highest amount of stats you can accumulate from at character creation. Half orc: 15 str 11 con 17 dex 12 int 14 wis 12 cha Wood elf: 13 str 11 con 17 dex 12 int 16 wis 12…
@ Voltomey. You stated you wanted intelligence for a more smooth combination of cooldowns and overall damage. I rolled a Tiefling for this and took +2int/cha bonus. This gave me 13str/16dex/15wis along with 13int/cha and ofc 9 con. Low on the con side, but everything else looks fine to get within the breakdown % for Arp,…
That's for any race. All races can set a primary stat to 20 at character creation, then gets +6 to that stat by levelling to 60. + campfire = 27 primary stat.
Thanks, been trying to figure out what to play and I did H-orc myself all the way to 60. It's been way too long since I've played the game, so I'm starting over from scratch as a Tiefling, getting the full experience once again :)
It is because of all your stats tend to be 10 or below 10 if you choose the 20/15/13 route. By all means a 20 dex is no push over, but for the character to have optimal secondary stats, you need to still focus on your non-primary ability scores. Voltomey has a great example where he switches all of his dex through…
You have now posted builds of three different races. All have their benefits, but does any of them stand out to you in these three categories: PvE, PVP, Overall feel.
