Alts, buying more bags later in level, or other necessities like the spec reset, additional character slots, etc. All are just way over-priced.

Really? Look at the cash shop prices thread of 15+ pages lol.. Certain things are almost a necessity as you progress in level and the prices are way to steep for those items.

I really do like this game but have to agree with the majority here about the high prices for needed items like bag space and respecs. I can tell at level 5 those bags will become essential when I get higher in level. If the prices do not drop by the time I feel I need one(about half) I wont be resuming after that point. I…

Yea it pretty well is launch, your characters wont be wiped again, the cash store is in full swing, and the game is completely open for all players. The "Open Beta" is a marketing ploy mmos use anymore. But I take it for what it is, and wont be paying anything until I see how things play out.

Use the torrent, it's much faster. Currently dling at 400kb/s. Also for some strange reason I cannot seem to post a new topic even though I made this account over 2 month's ago? But do your current characters in OB stay through launch as well?

That is not entirely true, the first Neverwinter Nights had a ton of servers that had open PvP and it was a blast. The community RPed barbarians, and the sort and most people would not just randomly kill. That would be hard to get in a F2P game though.
