Thank you for the response. With the way things are going idk if this game truly will be fixed. It's hard to be motivated to fix problems when you're getting money thrown at you either way.
No bowing required, I'd just be more wary in the future. With how Cryptic's handled their other mmos I'm not super hopeful. I'm definitely not wishing for this game to implode, it's got ALOT of potential. The combat and the Foundry were 2 things the genre really needed
No offense dude, but I think you're kindof part of the problem. The people that pump out stupid amounts of money for a half finished product just encourage a company to do it, instead of rethinking how they do things.
Thank you for the response. It's such a shame. I almost always tank in mmos, and I really love the playstyle of the GF. But when the healer does a better job tanking by spamming heals and running around like a chicken with their head cut off, I just can't enjoy myself. That's not even mentioning the exploits and everything…
Thankfully alot of upcoming mmos have action combat. The thing I liked about this game that was fairly unique for the genre was the Foundry, but it's not worth encouraging such terrible business practices to enjoy it.
If this truly is an "open beta" where are the known issues threads, discussing changes, engaging the community. All I see is the community being called "testers" alot", with generic responses being thrown out, and no real meaningful changes actually happening to the game
Agreed, I've discussed the point civilly in alot of threads, but with the continued silence it's hard to take this game seriously. It's uninstalled until the devs start to care. I honestly hope they turn this ship around, but I'm far from hopeful it'll happen.
That's the problem, they keep referring to us as "testers", but instead of engaging us they throw out canned responses, and spend the remainder of the time RPing as Scrooge McDuck with our money
It's in the upcoming mega patch that's make GFs more relevant, fixing the economy, and all the other bugs! Oh wait... that's what a good company would do. Womp womp :-\
I wouldn't worry too much about this, the "we're listening" is pretty much just the canned generic response to everything. In the case of class balance I saw it mostly thrown at the current pve situation where it's more efficient to drop the tank for another healer. Considering they haven't made any considerable changes I…
We're not saying they're not allowed to make mistakes, but considering they're sticking to calling this beta, they should actually treat it like one. List known issues, engage the players, etc
Yeah, AD purchased with Zen is one of the reasons why the economy is so jacked up. They can take action against the exploiters, but there's alot of people who ended up with that exploited AD by converting Zen.
Oh agreed, with the horrible balance issues among other things that have yet to be addressed it doesn't seem like they're going to do much of anything. That's why I'm pretty much done playing at this point. However, I'm going to remain active in the community to help with the discussion to improve the state of the game. If…
Yeah, if they wanted to stop the founders from being upset they could give them a headstart on this currency too. While Founder AD didn't help the broken economy, it wasn't the core issue.
Yeah, unfortunately they've let it get to a point where there is no perfect solution, it's a matter of what's going to enable them to retain players. Every proposed solution pisses off some segment of people.
A lvl increase isn't viable, but making Gauntylgrim gear substantially better than what's out, and tweaking the content to compensate, wouldn't be as hard.
Would you rather have a wipe and lose everything? This way you retain your lvl, cosmetic items, and have a headstart on the new content. I was in favor of a wipe, but this is actually a pretty great idea. And even without it the gear you paid money for is going to become obsolete eventually anyway. So I don't see why this…
