I agree about the cast times But Invest in gladiators guile, get into combat before anyone else. Use artifact + mount combat + TT (on high HP mob) Then run in and PoP You'll be top Dps most of the time. If you die Grab a Soulforge or Invest in some more defense.

SW can dps. Its just that you need right build. and u need to have ur daily 100% of the time, make sure you Tab mark alot too... Of course its going to be slower than GWF main dps because GWF has a insane reaction to Shepard's devotion(which then buffs assassins cov & GWF feats) and DC/Pally power share.
The only reason GWF is preferred. is because there is a wild interaction where DC's running Sheppard devotion, Tank/s Running Sheppard devotion Plus the Power sharing Makes the GWF's Defense/recovery/deflect/ARP ect boost his/her power. Tr's are out dpsing us now. The only time we get good damage is when we have TT, Use wheel, use mount power and have a bunch of enemies with high ish hitpoints.
Try high lifesteal with the bear cub and p/t lightning :) it works amazing. its also worth using "Guarded assault" Just keep the shield up and you heal constantly. Edit: You can also survive 1 shots this way without having to be Sword master for the feat that makes you immortal.
