I like the companion from Medallion store idea - just make the companion BoP when you get it from the store, but still BoE if you get it in the chest.

Nope, I've seen other people with the same bottoms who have the effect active. It doesn't show on my courtesans or peasants bottoms either. I wish I had gotten a picture of one of them.
