You dont need skill level 20 in any profession to do this. There are multiple rare recipes once you get your crafting to 15 or so that can achieve a rank 3 result. Of course, you do still need the high quality tools to do this.

you're confusing class balance with game mechanics. GWF damage is fine when geared, spec'd, and played properly. GF's can hold threat, and do a lot of damage while doing so...but they have to spec as a DPS to do so. when you try to trade/mail/post the companion on the AH, it will give you the price to unbind it (in AD). At least, a few patches ago, it did.

Staggering challenge is the name of the feat you quoted. Coolstorrey is correct. After a target has been hit with Griffon's Wrath, the next hit after does 20% more damage (at least that's how it's supposed to work).

Not to sound rude, but if you guys are having problems in the 10-16 bracket, you're doing something terribly wrong. One hit of Reaping Strike + Not so fast will kill 95% of any non elite mobs you come across. Mix in a restoring strike and the Determination passive, and it really is a cakewalk.
