Do you get any error when it happens or does it only close out of nowhere? I also had a lot of issues (I get graphics card errors) that are being temporarily worked around by changing to directx9 in the game options instead of 10.

Lighting Quality Shadows Screen-space ambient occlusion Try setting those graphics settings on minimum. Worked like a charm when I had the same issues.
