I get what you're saying, and I admit, I haven't played any dungeon since mod 6, but aren't the drops in the chests already somewhat random? Or are they guaranteed to be the new BIS gear now? The thing is, if it's a PUG, I can understand rewarding based on contribution, but heck, if you're too undergeared, a PUG will…
Oh, the upcoming improvements sound good. XP re-balancing and adding hopefully decent gear for zone currencies? I like the sound of that. I stopped playing maybe around 10 days before the double refinement weekend, came back for a couple days for the double refinement and haven't been back since, but once these upcoming…
To be fair, getting to level 70 solo and beating Spinward Rise is doable even with lesser gear. You just have to take on missions you can handle. It means no Cloud Giants or mini-dungeons. Just do missions where you don't have to fight tough opponents, such as the Air Tome missions. If you get a mission like slaying…
Regarding Pre-6, I just wanna say that I thought it was sufficiently tough. As a casual player, I actually felt that Icewind Dale was pretty darn tough without using one of my main toons who were using pretty strong enchants. My T2 Gear GF with no weapon enchant and R4/R5 Echants/Runes couldn't even beat the starting…
Scaling Dungeons? Sorry, despite being at this game for so long, I'm not very familiar with certain terms. I was actually on a long hiatus prior to Mod 6. So, which are the scaling Dungeons again? Are you talking about stuff like Cloak Tower? Thank you.
Hello, here are some of my feedback on Mod 6. I'm a member of a casual guild but due to timezone differences, I seldom get to party up for dailies. For all intents and purposes, I am a casual solo player. Let's start with some positives. In regards to re-using maps, I actually love it. I've always felt it was such a shame…
Hi, same problem, the game's not loading, and then it crashes. It gets to Cryptic, then the Neverwinter and assorted logos, then it hangs/not responding for awhile and then it crashes. Error message is: Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned error code (D3DERR_DEVICEREMOVED) while Locking sprite index buffer.
Here's something that happened on a recent Tiamat run. White was doing well, followed by Black (my group) while the middle heads were taking some damage. Not great but Tiamat's health was lowering. On our second Cleric Defense phase, both the side Clerics were done, but Linu in the middle was barely up. I went to help…
Having done 3 of these, all failed, I think I know what the issue that's bothering us as players is. First, some background info. I played using my 17K GWF. In each run through, I've crashed at some point and it took a couple minutes before I could do anything after logging back in. My first run through, I had no idea what…
Once again, thank you. I'll run the MemTest86 once I finish uninstalling. Does anyone know if there's any temp files or cache or whatever I should check in relation to Neverwinter? Haha, I'm just gonna take advantage of the fact you guys are actually helpful. A rare thing in forums eh?
Prior to Mod 4, I was getting fatigued with Neverwinter, particularly because I was experiencing frequent crashes since Mod 3. But I kept at it, logging in daily for the invocation and professions, if nothing else. Eventually, I went from logging in a minimum of twice a day (sometimes 3 or 4) to just once a day. But one…
Well now... I just spent all my flowers because I'm a fool who didn't realize this. D'oh! Not only that, but I used up all my flowers for all my toons.
Hi, thanks for the continued advice. While reinstalling, I've run dxdiag, and it says I'm fine. Although I haven't made sure my Direct X is the most up to date yet. In terms of connection speed, I don't think that's the reason for the crashes, as I'm generally not experiencing lag (unless I've got a torrent or download in…
Thanks guys. Alas, I've already begun reinstalling. But I'll check out the Direct X thingies as well. I've just gotten super frustrated with the constant crashing and I've been waiting for the Summer Festival to effectively end. Thanks again for the advice, I'll keep those in mind in case I encounter issues again in future.
Welp, my guild (Guild Medieval) has this thing where we take screenies whenever it's someone's first time beating a particular dungeon, so here are some of our draconic conquests. Pardon the quality of some. Not everyone's got super keen graphics cards yes? ;) Brace yourselves, dragons coming...
