  • Same here. Talking with someone in game, they said there was in-game announcement that they know what the problem is and are working on it.
  • This actually made me giggle. Just a couple thoughts while reading this thread. Buying a Buy-to-play/non-subbed game isn't "Forced to buy," it's more "I think this looks good--possibly tried beta and I'll buy." I don't agree that developers using a buy-to-play model aren't thinking about the future of their property. I…
  • I just read the article on MMORPG. I kind of laughed. There were 6 total games mentioned--WildStar, DayZ, Marvel Heroes Online, FireFall, NeverWinter and Elder Scrolls Online. Five of the games won an 'award.' Best of Show – Elder Scrolls Online Best Hybrid MMO – DayZ Rising Star – Marvel Heroes Online Most Innovative –…
  • My Man-at-Arms! Rushed trained during the last two weekends to get him to 30. Cost a ton of astral diamonds at higher levels. He was pretty fun, holding aggro wonderfully versus single targets playing in easier-medium difficulty zones. It still fairly squishy versus bosses and in group dungeons/skirmishes, where I usually…
  • Have Tera, DDO, DCUO, Vindictus, Age of Wushu, LOTRO and War of the Roses installed. Not really playing anything regular, but jumping between games. Was playing Tera, but after hitting 60, I don't want to log in anymore, lol. I'm not really interested in grinding in any games or spending hours in front of the computer…
  • AMA = American Medical Association, from which more info about the game was given than the ask me anything on Reddit. I like the game and will be playing, but seriously? The President of the United States answered more questions and spent longer on his "AMA." At least we got to know that the developer will be available to…
  • Cloak Clipping! I planned to take more screenshots before server came down, but crashed just before and gave up. My Man-at-Arms companion in bg leveled up to 30 (Champion Cavalier skin).
  • Don't completely mind the flimslyness of the cloaks, but something seems a bit off, lol. Serious clipping issues this weekend after having cloaks work fairly well the first two CBTs. The only previous issue was mounted clipping, both "through" the horse and sometimes over my head, lol.
  • Yup, been an issue with cloaks clipping all weekend. They were actually working really well during the last two weekends, with only mounted clipping while being stationary looking a little sloppy (cloak dropping straight through mount).
  • Lots of things in game can/must be purchased with astral diamonds (ADs). All the gold merchants in the marketplace have an AD trader (merchant) standing next to them and they sell armor, weapons and jewelry. Rush training for companions, as well removing runestones from companions cost AD as well. Removing enchantment…
  • I remember playing the DDO missions in which they had "DM'ed". Was fun. I agree perhaps some official foundry missions or something could pay some solid tribute to the great creators of DnD. I don't think most people playing MMOs, and obviously MMORPGs, realize how much Dungeons & Dragons has influenced the gaming world.…
  • I've seen so many topics on this and the response is always a firm negative. I don't want to upgrade, but not giving the people the freedom to do so is silly. Why not? You have our money. We paid. Our accounts our "flagged" or "marked". Why aren't the mechanics in place to upgrade to the Hero's pack, from the Guardian's…
  • Definitely this. During the more challenging group events in the first CBT, healing was much more difficult with everyone's companions out. The direct healing anyway. I ended up relying on aoe and reactive type healing instead. If the mechanics of targeting and/or locking are kept in, I can easily see people not using some…
  • I do think the producers and publishers are taking into account the overall discussion on these forums, but I also believe that many of the decisions they've made are completely pre-calculated. We're in the metrics age people, decisions are made with numbers in mind. By only releasing 5 builds on launch (as they say they…
  • Yay for fun contests! Here are my two cents, in a sense. I'm trying to make one that will actually qualify under these strict rules, lol. Even if I can't I had fun!
  • Yeah I was talking about this very issue with another beta friend. If they had say, 26 pre-made characters to play instead of the five we've told been will be available at launch, would people be a little less upset over customization/class progression? Probably, but It would seem it should be one way or the other. Fully…
  • I believe Cryptic Studios was purchased, by Perfect World, from Atari who was going through financial difficulty. I'l echo what people have said about the astral diamonds here. I don't mind a certain amount of influx of real money into the game through the zen > AD system. I also don't mind playing the game for a two-three…
  • The two skirmish events were tough, with defend the keep event being the toughest group experience in the first cbt (IMO). It was difficult healing a group and very different than other mmos. The speed of the combat itself presented some difficulty which I think can actually add to the cleric/healing experience. The last…
  • Great fun. Maybe you could make one, where your cleric gets revenge by healing other players in a dungeon.
  • All this. Really enjoyed your first campaign! Dialogue wasn't too wordy and well-written, monsters well placed and much of what has already been said above. For the flatness or "island" feeling someone posted above, would it be possible to have a "staticy" background, as in the high road map? And if someone gets too far…
  • I agree with a couple of the cosmetic/role play posters. Play any race you enjoy looking at and enjoy playing. I don't think anything will be game changing and I don't think an extra +1 will make anyone the best. But making a sexy elven cleric might make you the best looking.
  • It exists for sure. How much is definitely the question. As it stood over the weekend, I tried to crunch numbers and look over all the feats, even the paragon paths and try to come up with real numbers to see what would be awesome long term. Wasn't too impressed with anything. For people who enjoy this sort of thing,…
  • I used that a bunch of times Ide. In groups it was nice, seemed to 'lock on' the target. Although hitting the target was a little tough at times. Easier when a group member would be low on hp and run out of combat. It was just a matter of deciding to tab and then using that "time" for a single target, as opposed to getting…
  • I loved how many people listed stuff for control wizards and great weapon fighters. I wonder if that will carry over to the next beta weekend. Yes, was definitely a bit limited; not searchable by effect would be another I would add Eldarth. It'll be interesting to see if they develop this more and also how the use of…
  • I agree the solo content (can't imagine doing the standard quest progression grouped) was very easy, but healing a group was very challenging in the two playable skirmish events. I didn't feel overpowered when people were dying. Thankfully anyone could resurrect. It'll be interesting to see how they tweak the cleric class…
  • Was she/he chaotic evil? Heh. Greeding everything you don't need is fine. I did play one game (shall remain nameless), where people preferred you pass everything you didn't need, which made no sense. If you need it, you need. If you don't, you greed. I would only pass if I had no bag space, or misstyped :p
  • Testing beta-signature-set new character, because I can't sleep, or make sense apparently. RK, there's a flaming horse in game!
