  • America, **** yea! -_- yea, nobody has ever changed anything by complaining. Just bend over and take it like a man.
  • Well, after seeing this fiasco, I have to ask: what could they have done worse? I mean it's not like they did something outstanding for all the people who play this game, they merely acted to protect their zen shop after they royally ****ed up in the first place, do you expect people to say "good job guys, carry on" for…
  • Clearly, this didn't happen as well. There is no way they could have known, really. Cryptic are awesome, don't make them look bad.
  • For normal downtimes, yes. But since this was an "emergency takedown" they probably hadn't any idea whatsoever when they would bring the servers back up, so it's understandable to have this kind of downtimes without an eta. Mind you, I'm not trying to say they didn't completely mess up with the bug in the first place, just…
  • You do realize that people who quit over it already are not exactly likely to post in your thread? Do you expect to declare this thread "evidence" so that fanboys everywhere can shout out "no one really quit! ha!"? That does seem pretty ludicrous to me...
  • ...until the next gamebreaking exploit gets out of hand. Somehow I doubt we are looking at a single isolated event. After seeing the sheer number of completely unadressed bugs in this stage, I would assume that even if they somehow manage to contain every exploit right now, the next thing they implement will be broken as…
  • A free lockbox, hooray.
  • 7 hours is the time this went completely public so everyone and their grandmother exploited. There have been lots of people who did it earlier. Like the ones who reported the bug a good time ago, or those who did the exact same thing in sto...
  • Absolutely correct, I wish I would have been there early enough. Maybe for the next terribly gamebreaking exploit, shouldn't be longer then a week...
  • Somehow, they not only managed to make the "primary" attribute of the class the least desirable one, and then they also force you to allocate points to it. Now that's some awesome class design, isn't it?
  • Lol, as if they'd wipe at this stage. They'd never, ever, even consider wiping for real. They will definitely just talk this down/ignore it and proceed as usual, maybe ban a few accounts in the process and that's it. Of course, the money and goods will be long laundered and spread over an army of mules by this time.
  • Actually, it's perfecty fine to discuss stuff in open beta and have a good laugh about it, because it all gets wiped in the end anyway. Oh wait.
  • "You have 5% chance when attacking a foe to apply Faerie Fire for 4 seconds, reducing its Power and Defense by 6%." It does sound nice for boss fights, but that's pretty much it then I guess.
  • You seem to be pretty oblivious about the foundry. You can not, in any shape or form, create anything that even vaguely resembles a "modern setting". Maybe you could chose human interior, place one desk and a chair in it and call it an "office", but it won't exactly look modern still...
  • Yes, the tooltip *should* read something like "for the purpose of damage calculations, your strength counts as 2/4/6 points higher", as that is what it's meant to do. The 2%/4%/6% is extremely confusing in this context, because the literal application is completely off here. There are numerous offenders like this in the…
  • You don't seem to have any idea what you're asking here... No, not going to happen.
  • It's not just the founders, standard drow are also going to have that "perk", but yeah, it is just laughably bad. It's not even situationally mediocre, like many other racial perks, it's just terribly, terribly useless. Whoever was in charged completely dropped the ball here. A replacement would be in order, preferrably…
  • Actually, tr and cw are where they are supposed to be, dps wise. Gwf need a serious buff to be competitive, gf and cleric aggro need to get fixed. Those problems make tr stand out, yes, but that doesn't mean that nerfing tr is the only viable solution.
  • Most likely, the gear sets will be set in stone. Other paragon powers will come, but more "fighting styles" aka dual wield gf means new animations for everything as well, which is about the same amount of work as a completely new class but won't sale for nearly as much.
  • So, in order to have the stat you want you have to reroll your whole character customization until you randomly succeed? Awful design.
  • Wait, I can reel in loads of glory points by just afking in the game? I'll jump to it right now!
  • Bad suggestion. Positive reinforcement always works better then punishment. If anything, there should be rewards for players *participating*, and a slight cherry on top for winning. Having a good fight, even on the losing side, should be rewarded, as this is what players should come for in the first place, and it would be…
  • Less emotional and yet more to the point then anything I could have written, +1.
  • Yup, this being announced as beta is an order straight from the marketing department, nothing more. The designation "beta" only makes sense if there is an actual difference to release, doesn't it? There is a common understanding about what beta should be though, they just intentionally mislabeled it to sell more. I…
  • And we aren't even there yet, stats wise. Offensive stats and especially enchants (yes, those with the $160 price tag) scale much better then defensive stats.
  • Actually, the majority of the world's population couldn't get a sports car if they worked themselves to death, which they do regardless. Back on topic though: I find it kinda funny that this thread, after 4 pages of "nobody needs no cash shop at all! there is absolutely nothing at all that's forcing you to the cash shop!…
  • Or because things get nerfed/buffed, or when you hit 60 and realize some of your powers are useless now, and because being expected to permanently run the same spec in both pvp and pve is such incredibly good game design.
  • *sigh* Let me copy and paste a paragraph from that link for you, to give you a chance to ignore it more thoroughly: So a $160 price tag doesn't equal paywall for you?
  • Wow, this thread really got my fanboy senses tingling... Apparently, most adamant defenders don't even know the full depth of the cash grab scheme at hand. The highest tiers of loot are behind a very solid paywall, (hint: read the runes paragraph) and of course all of it has planned obsolescence written all over it, in…
