This is Tera with a DnD facelift, there are no weapon variations! I hope Cryptic adds in weapon variants for the classes even if 4e says clerics only get the goofy symbol.
I think the OP is confusing Bind on Equip with Bind on Acquire/Pickup... as far as I know, the game is designed around Bind on Equip, which means that the item is not bound to your character UNTIL you... you know, put it on. Otherwise I would totally agree about BOA/P being a really stupid idea that needs to go the way of…
You are correct for now... Drow are a cash-cow, Cryptic would be stupid to not put them on the cash shop for 20$ or more. It won't happen right away, perhaps in a year or two... they did the same with STO and some of the lifetimer stuff. as well as all of the preorder stuff got put on the cash shop. If you want to play a…
I'm sorry, but this game does not allow you to hog up all the good names and never use them just so you can feel special. Personally I think all mmos should use the @handle system. It's a much better way of handling character names.
My suggestion is for Cryptic to stop calling it open beta since it's actually live now. Get rid of this extra currency... They had a whole bunch of different currencies in STO, and then they removed them, so why did they add them back into NWO? *shakes head* Make the walking animation the same across the board instead of…
The starter kit is a waste of money for the cost - its a one-character-only thing... so I wish I hadn't bought it, but I did spend an extra 5$ for character slots. If you're waiting for this game to get out of beta, youre going to be waiting a very very very long time... because it's as launched as its going to get. It'll…
I rearranged the hud so that the minimap is on the bottom of the screen, its less annoying for the bars being out, but it would be nice if they would stay in.
Knowing Cryptic/PWE, you probly will have to pay anyway... lol Not that I wouldnt mind, it being a f2p game, I dont mind supporting through the cash shop.
See... here's the thing: I could afford to buy the founder pack. I could buy two, but I am not dumb enough to give them that much money right off the bat; not after CO and STO -neither of which I paid 200$, but I have an STO sub for over a year.
To be honest, if I had been waiting for this game for as long as some people have been, or even plopped down 200$ for drow at launch, I would be really disgusted. But as it stands, it's not a terrible game, it's fun, and it looks good, and the characters look pretty nice, but some things really annoy me.
Correct, so remember folks, if you're gonna make comparisons, make correct comparisons! :D 4th Ed tries too hard to be a video game instead of a pnp game.4
So there are axes in the game, but only for GWF's? What about staves for the mages? That tiefling in the cinematic had one I think... Also sure would be nice if the clerics got a warhammer or a mace and shield.
It's the abomination known as 4th Edition DnD. I like the way the Tieflings look in concept art... in game, their running animation outside of combat makes me think: invisiblebicyclelol! I think it's safe to say that this game is not the DnD you grew up with (or your parent's for that matter).
You think thats bad, try walking as a guardian... you look like a gorilla. xD And for those that don't know: /bind z ++walk allows you to walk; replace z with the key of your choice.
Yeah I just did this to see what it looks like, and it looks terrible, the guy in the video is just going for big HAMSTER without any sort of proportion.
Well, all the min-maxing complaints aside (I'm kidding btw), are there any swords that aren't twice as long as the body? On a dwarf the greatsword is too long. Also are there any other weapons besides swords for them to use, like hammers or axes?
Cryptic: Instead of just trimming the Nightmare lockbox spam, why not give us the option to turn it off... I really couldn't care less about who got what.
