  • I have spoken to many level 60 rangers and discussed about class differences - yes, Rangers are in general agreed to be 'squishier' than even CWs, but the damage is ridiculously high. I am a pure DPS CW and though I am not the best, I have played the game since beta and did in depth studies of few of the classes. I…
  • Yeah, fix the exploits, i second that! I do look forward to see new surprises they come out with after each maintenance though :)
  • Unlike the Midsummer's Festival, these skirmish runs are short and immensely repetitive. Hardcore players will probably spam-run the skirmish over and over again while the rest gets sick of it after a while. Don't get me wrong though, it really is fun to have something exciting like this coming up, but this time round,…
  • It can sound cynical here, on my part, but 1) what is stopping ppl from withdrawing items to sell of in the auction house? 2) in the case of runestones, everyone contributes, say, rank 4s.. and to go up to rank 6, you need 64 rank 4s (assuming no bad fuses)... who gets the prize in the end? Will people hold back in their…
  • Works for you, but probably not for other classes, bro. As a CW myself, if I have a co-CW who does this, I get VERY annoyed. It screws up everyone's AoEs and will significantly lower the overall DPS of the team. They are either ignorant, oblivious to group dynamics or plain selfish (hoping to do more personal damage to…
  • You make a very good point. The potential for group synergy is no doubt one of the best! I myself adopted it as an endgame daily, and NOT because it is needed to drag mobs off edges. No arguments there, rashylewizz. However, perhaps if you run in dungeons often enough, you will sense a whole new element in the epic scene ~…
  • I like your part on "not letting people tell you what to do". Some people out there are just out to boss people around, while others do offer contructive insights to better synergy in a dungeon run, for instance. How a character plays is entirely of his/her own choice. I have seen DPS clerics that outdo mages, i have seen…
  • Fully agree with the part on mounts. At this point, the higher level maps like Icespire do benefit players with a better mount, though I still see many riding 5-gold vehicles. As for the lag, I believe it can also be used generically to address lags, freezes, "server not responding", rubberbanding and such, which are…
  • That would be awesome! In the game, guild is not really different from friends except for the chat channel. The bank is quite useless.
  • I am the guildleader of <Order of the Dark Sun> on mindflayer server. We were established only last month, and has been active so far. Everyone is passionate yet relaxed in gaming and almost knows everyone else. We chat with one another even when we're not partying together. Everyone is friendly and there are no…
  • I second that. 750k for just less than 10 stats... With that amount of AD, i can get several rank 7 runestones or regular weapon enchantments... Not a fair deal...
  • I have this problem too. Some needed icons, some talisman (eg Phoera). I believe it has to be the type that looked like the background illustration of the box you drag the item into.
  • Just another wild guess - can it be an achievement reward for those foundry-authors?
  • I confirm that. Mounts are available only at level 20, zen or no zen. Only zen companions can be owned at level 1 onwards.
  • "A deft leap from the grasp of hostility, before retaliating with the twins of pointed malice" ~ Uk'Sharl Karad'ur (Mindflayer Server)
  • Okay, I noted that in the game, TRs whack enemy - job done, tanks whack enemy - job done, nobody questions. A cleric gets slammed all the time if healing not fast enough. mage gets slammed when crowd not controlled. I've played everyday since beta and totally AGREE that using ice storms are way irritating. However, the…
  • The first 3 looks the same, except it grew bigger. However, the final one's eyes glows with radiant yellow and wears a tiara.
  • I don't understand this post, actually. I did study the Lillend carefully after it upgrades its skin, and saw that she looked the same, but grew in size. At the final skin, she wears a tiara and her eyes glow with golden light.
  • Well said wildger! The novelty will die away after a while, after which, the realization that the companion is not that fantastic ... and its value plummets.
  • Well, one thing to note though, is that she alternates between her casting, so lifesteal is not on all the time like a passive ability (correct me if i'm wrong) and also, with the likely fact that Recovery don't seem applicable to companions (i haven't tested it myself), then perhaps its possible the fight is long over…
  • I agree totally! Besides, they were not that open about the odds those profession asset packs offer too! I believe the Lillend is highly sought after for novelty reasons. You wont be affected much with or without one, esp after level60, your gameplay would have hit a cap. What's left to do?
  • Well, the offensive is damage-over-time. It does make her more wholesome than just a passive healer. She will weaken the enemy too, so it is quite handy when 1-to-1 with boss. As for runestones, there are many rumors (I havent tested) that recovery doesnt impact companions as supposed to, which is a tremendous shame. Thus,…
  • Well, if you merely compare this two, 1) Grade wise, they are two ends of the spectrum - Lillend is epic, Cleric is common 2) Cleric heals with regeneration, and does sacred fire (normal damage), while Lillend can debuff, cause damage over time, and heal. 3) Liillend can reach up to level 30, meaning she has a whole set of…
  • Well, despite many people rooting for the AUGMENT pets (ioun stones and cat), i do agree they are awesome. Somehow, I did experience with them, and of course normal pets do serve as a wonderful aggro magnet or a decoy, earning the player precious seconds to throw some AoEs and dash out of the heat of a deadly battle. No…
  • I never noticed that! Perhaps i soloed most of the time. Its amusing that some other players was so shocked to see the lillend and didnt even know it existed as a companion! ^^
  • It doesnt matter, people. The chances of getting one from professions pack is VERY VERY SMALL. Many players got their wallets burnt when attempting to play with chance. The cheapest way is to get your ADs and buy them. Lillends should be around 1.2 million ADs on Mindflayer by now.
  • I have a lillend i got for almost 2 million ADs. She does well when assisting player fight bosses, but sucked in mob situation since her only offensive is Damage-over-time. Her healing can be negligible too, esp in higher level situations where even a lowly undead can hit for 400+ (at least) damage. But disclaimer here: I…
  • The issue here is: buyers are misled into believing that the companions CAN BE TRADED, and CAN BE UNBOUND. Infact, the unbind buttons are there, and even asking for a cost of astral diamonds. You must agree that option to trade and unbind does play a significant weight in a zen-spender's decision to invest. If Cryptic…
  • Same problem here. And to add on, this is WORSE than a bug. Its a defunct on the entire unbinding function! Why show the unbind button, ask for astral diamonds for unbinding purpose, and in the end its not working? In a certain sense, I feel cheated. I bought a companion with my trial character to experience it, thinking…
  • Its plain luck. Also, I believe that the list of items in the box do not share equal %chance of scoring. Perhaps (just an example) the Infernal Nightmare is just 5-10%?
