This actually concerns me. Unless they count it differently, the new authors will be at horrible disadvantage to the old-timers/popular authors with subscribers.
A.k.a. "the event with fugliest mask possible and the dyes that nobody uses" :P Oh well, at least we can complete the achievements if we missed out on them last year.
I still think that the real problem with foundry is not the AD rewards (really, 3k AD is not a lot, either way) but the problem of final loot. Foundry dubloons as a currency and a shop with rewards and consumables - that's the way to go. And not crappy consumables either. Can you imagine if there was something like…
Just remember that an objective NPC can have only one final prompt - which means the dialogue must end the same way for both sides. Only the 'middle' of the conversation can be different.
Choosing sides needs to be done outside objectives, like you said. I have three possible endings to my WIP quest. They are all triggered by dialogue prompts from the main NPC, and then, depending on player choice, different NPCs and enemies spawn. The plot can go in three different directions. The important part is to make…
Also, you need to remember that some of the assets don't have to be used as they are intended. Want to make walls out of floors? Sure. Maybe use wooden trim asset as a table? Go for it. Want to build stairs of out shelves? You can. The only thing stopping you is your imagination.
I am not 100% sure it goes like this (can't log into the editor to check) but if it's an indoor map you should be able to right click on a room in layout mode and select 'no lights' for light options? You would be able to place your own lights then, without need to cover the pre-made ones?
I'm up for more testing at Sunday - during Saturday I'll be at work on my crappy laptop with lowest possible settings, so testing that day is out of the question. But as always, I'm game. Gotta find all of them weird places to get stuck in ;)
I thought they couldn't o_o I was curious if my author character can get the horse I bought with zen (it's free account-wide) and I couldn't get into zen market.
While I *would* like to see more class equality (I'm a DC, it takes ages to kill stuff) I think foundry is the key feature that makes NW stand out from all the other mindless hack-n-grind MMOs. It definitely needs more love. Wasn't this what DnD was all about? Making up your own quests and sharing with others?
Can someone explain to me why the hell I can't even finish the patch? I restarted the patcher because it seemed to be stuck and now no matter what I do I am stuck at 10 MB/294 MB (3%) for the last 40 minutes and it doesn't look like it's going to move any time soon. (Yes, before you ask, I don't have firewall blocking it)…
JFC, am I the only one for whom the patcher goes so slowly? In the last 20 minutes or so I got 12%. My patchers always went up insanely fast, it's only since IWD update that they slowed down to snail's pace.
No problem man, testing was tons of fun, as was jumping into random holes and being unable to get out ;P Maps look beautiful and I am always up for testing (and breaking) more of them.
They were small blood and small ice, projected just on empty terrain (large empty plain, flat). It might have been something with my client. I am at work now and unable to check again until later this evening, so hold up with actually naming it a bug. I'll edit this post when I check again if it wasn't just my PC being…
Okay, I don't want to make a bug report before I made sure, but is it just my sudden inablility to use projectors, or do they do not display? I think I tried placing them at every possible angle.
