To receive your extra items from invoking you need to use a "mechanical altar" from the event store. My advice to all if you want to get the most out of your mechanical altars, Use the altar on only your 6th blessing of the day, You get all 5 bags and the item you get for the 6th blessing.

So far I have leveled multiple characters Alchemy professions while leveling other professions and did not have any problems in the PS4 version. I think the best advice to follow is to keep doing the experiments, at the higher levels experiments are a pain as they require more supplies.
