I have this same issue, currently have 3 spaces that are wasted with event mounts I got from the parcel or gift that I cannot equip or discard.... some gift lol seems like a curse.

Wish they would do something for VIP who cant get items and do daily for AD. basically waiting for server to come back but need to go to sleep soon to wake up and goto work at 6 AM est :( on a side note ... i do find the server updates entertaining :)
