This worries me. What will be the fate of all the mounts that people got before the servers went down? I can imagine bad things happening in the auction house and trade channels if they stay. (not to mention setting a bad precedent that'd reward those who opened the buggy boxes early and often)
I am also experiencing this. I already tried abandoning a quest and restarting it, as well as picking up a different one altogether. It would seem the gerbils powering the Foundry map servers have had a heat stroke. :P
I don't really mind seeing things from other Cryptic games appear in Neverwinter. :) In fact, I would be super happy if we had more things ported over, like hairstyles, sit emotes, appropriately magic/fantasy styled costumes... And if we get new-new stuff on top of that, with content releases like Gauntlgrym or the…
Aside from a desire to have our characters look how we want them to, which is kind of important in a game that benefits from players being attached to their character, there is also the fact that two new races are being released with the next content module. Those of us who have well-geared top-level characters might…
I do like that the mechanics for levelling Alchemy feel different from other professions. However, since we are only allowed to run a single "Rank __ Experimentation" task at any given time, rather than the usual three (or six) simultaneous runs, progress ends up feeling bottlenecked by that, even if one has sufficient…
Ooh, very nice! :) A wonderfully transparent OR implementation that doesn't clutter the player's bags with token items. Thank you for sharing the brilliant idea with the rest of us :3
Awwh :( Hopefully you will not have to wait long. For all we know, that item may be a bugged piece of wizard gear. After all, we don't yet have a class with the Nature skill. ;)
Good question! They were probably thinking of a different class, or perhaps an older version of D&D. (or I could be just plain wrong. I only played fey pact Warlock in pen and paper, so I may be mis-remembering :p)
Under fourth edition rules, the Scourge Warlock is a ranged striker class that wields hellfire and curses, so the next class will probably be either that, or the archer ranger.
Hmm. So I logged on to Champions Online again to make a supergroup with a ' in the name. Pulling up the supergroup channel list in pidgin shows all the SGs my other characters belong to, but this one is absent. So, it might just be that it's completely impossible to have pidgin connect to custom/SG channels that include…
I suspect the single quote (') in the guild name may be causing issues here as well, as I have not had any luck getting xmpp to connect to custom channels with that character in their name either. We may need to escape it somehow (\'), or maybe even need to wait for a dev to shed some light on the matter.
If only that were true... :( As a former Champions Online player, I have seen the amount of new content there shrink to a near standstill as their dev team got repurposed around to help finish other games. It happened with Star Trek Online's launch, and now once more with Neverwinter. While it would be nice if one's love…
I am sorry to hear you have been put off from posting by people's reactions. :( We all love the game very much, and with time, we grow attached to our characters. So when something does not work as we feel it should, and it gets in the way of us having fun, some players will become upset, and lash out at each other, or…
That is how it is supposed to work, but the original poster's research shows otherwise: Rank 30 companion damage is being drastically reduced against high level foes, due to what is probably a glitched internal level comparison between the attacker and defender when calculating damage numbers. Hence, this post is born, to…
Drow is a race just like any other, meaning they have access to everything that anyone else has. This includes all classes, the same max level of sixty, the ability to buy and use any mount and companion, and so on. So, while the spider mount and the panther are Hero of the North exclusives, one does not have to be a Drow…
Unfortunately not, though I believe many players would be thrilled at the idea, if they knew something like that exists in Champions Online, one of Cryptic's other games (that as far as I know uses the same game engine). Perhaps if more players ask about this, we might get a UI dev to look into it, as it'd make for a…
Prices notwithstanding, I'd like to see even more (lots more! The more we have, the more players are likely to buy) cosmetic costumes for all the flavours of character. Also, foundry quest slot tokens. :) I don't think there's a way to expand past the initial limit of ten, which will eventually be filled by prolific…
Manshoon has created a dozen or more clones. Only one of these clones has survived to this day and is once more the head of the present evil organization known as the Zhentarim.
Having been a Champions Online player for a long time now, I have to agree with the sentiment that the game feels almost abandoned, and that makes me sad. :( CO is, in my opinion, the only enjoyable MMO left in the superhero genre, and it is a real shame to see so much potential get so little love. When it's possible to…
I cannot put enough stress in how vital a working search system is for the Foundry's health. Currently, it is not possible to find a quest that is marked "for review" by searching by name or author. Since manually scrolling through tens or hundreds of for-review quests in search of the one we want is neither quick nor…
Was stuck with a lot of work, which still didn't stop me from a lot of crafting and playing around the auction house via the gateway. :) Now if only we could retrieve Astral Diamonds from our mailbox without logging into the game itself... That'd have made my weekend complete. :3
I'm currently playing a trickster rogue, which I enjoy immensely. I'll make a warlock alt when it becomes possible, and I might also add a devoted cleric to the mix at some point. :)
