I'm no longer here. Good luck fixing this mess. Thanks for the fun!

  • No, is not. It's bug all over.
  • Even if these cases of NPC's being OP are fixed, the scaling will never result in fun - will be either too easy or too hard, because you would need a system designed to scale every single stat with each other, and there's no such thing here. After fix will still be the same as without scaling. Only in ESO I saw a scaling…
  • I don't know if the damage formula on the wiki still works, so won't quote it here, but the damage will be something like: Magnitude x Weapon Damage x Power x other Modifiers (like crit and others) x and so on Of course the reason for picking one skill over another it's not just damage values, but their synergy or utility…
  • Just remove scaling This will take a looong time, and huge parts of the game will keep being frustrating. It's interesting to read why scaling calculations fail; being based on character level and then item level is adjusted based on that badly (since item level also no longer means the same, with steal health and many…
  • I like the scaling icon though, so clearly shows what a thorn it is (in it's current state).
  • It's just a huge "you aren't welcome here" sign. Signed by "Admin".
  • Where is "scaling in a good place"? It's either too easy or way too hard (as in you have to run away or quit), very few mobs are a fun challenge. Current implementation of scaling is so broken at moment, even if in theory is a good idea (to make it bit challenging BUT doable), that would be better to just remove it…
  • "Class powers now express their effectiveness with Magnitude, rather than direct damage values, in order to provide better at-a-glance comparisons of various powers' relative strength. These should be relatively consistent; for example, an un-buffed power with 200 Magnitude will generally deal twice the damage of a power…
  • It's a disaster. Way too many stats, and most do nothing, and even those which do, mean nothing with broken scaling.
  • Yeah, I get many of those since this last update, happened even after a Heroic Event, and the pop-up still there after restarted game and can't dismiss it. At least I can discard the bags.
  • Nope, checked them all, even switched some companion skills around just to test it, still getting it. Dismissed companion, cleared all companion skills (left slots empty), removed bonding runestones and equipment, still same happens. Switched to my Ranger and Fighter (Guardian), those aren't level 70+ but lower and doesn't…
  • I don't even know what it is, just have an alt full of inventory of things I don't know what they are (just an old week noob here), but already scared of this system here. I will just play till works without, and then goodbye.
  • Now really, I get it that why one can be very upset with these latest changes, but that quoted part just can't be true (or the reasons are somewhere else than these changes). My warlock is just ~1week old lvl71 atm about 11,000 item level and can kill in DPS mode the dragon campaign level 72 NPC's that come 5 or more…
  • It's unbelievable that the dev team implemented a "scaling" this way, this just killed all - lower than your level - content, and that in my case is 90% of the game (I got to level 70 in a week, newbie account, bad gear). Now I may solo to level 80 and get stuck in that "undermountain" place. Is this a farewell Neverwinter…
  • Is there a place that shows that maintenance has ended? Can't find it here, never ends sooner or later than the 2 hours estimated? Or it is somewhere on a Twitter or some other place? Being new here I don't know where to find it. Trying to log in is the only way to find out if the servers are back on?
  • Companions need some kind of set options, so players can define what they expect: attack first red NPC on sight, focus ranged, caster, melee, boss, or wait till player engages and more. At least these should be in their descriptions if they got something similar by default. Tanks should survive better at high level, and…
  • You should ask for a PvP server or PvP instance instead, but with how scaling and gear and so on works here, will be one shot kills (rarely any balance), and that's not fun PvP either. As for reward there should be a way to get the best gear just by doing nothing but PvP, less for loss and more for wins.
  • I don't think the scaled part of the game being "too easy" or "too difficult" is the problem (that's relative, it's always for some), just has to be fairly consistent, and isn't, whatever math is used needs a rework.
  • If you want to do it slowly, pick Private mode in Dungeon menu, most are doable with a companion and eventually healing potions. Or with friends. Even if scaling would be perfect, old players will rarely stop to check the paintings, read lore, explore every corner, open every small chest, they even mostly ignore everything…
  • Scaling is broken somewhere, it's far easier to clear things that are your level or even bit higher, than when you are scaled down. Even as level 50 (with gear mostly from quests & drops) scaled to 15 (started late the Acquisition quests and was scaled down) was almost one-shoot by some basic NPC's, and had to be careful…
  • I just wish the feature was optional (opt-in if want to use it), that constant patching was annoying. Edit: I was wrong, the patching still going on so wasn't related to Foundry.
