• latest patch fixed it for me, I did however wipe my entire wine setup and start fresh... Ubuntu 14.04, Wine 1.7.24, Nvidia 9600GT/512 with 331.38 drivers, Quad Q9300 with 8gb ram.

• Same crash issue, was fine before yesterday's update/downtime. Ubuntu 14.04, Wine 1.7.22

• Ubuntu 14.04, Wine 1.7.22 here, was working before the new module, I logged in fine before yesterday's downtime/patch, not since :(
