Just an added note, this has also locked these items in the mail system. If there are multiple copies of the same ring in the message you cannot remove them from the mail.

I noticed the BTA before, thus they weren't allowed to be exchanged or sold on ah, however they never had a hidden unique flag on them. I was able to hold multiple copies of the same ring to sort through items and consolidate my mail for easy access before the update this morning.

I know on PC you have to complete 'The Cloak Tower' and 'Cragmire Crypts' dungeons as well as all the quest chains for the system to recognize that you've competed all 5 questlines. Hopefully this helps in the meantime.
