  • Are you kidding me? This game is made for trolls! :) Want to silence someone for no reason at all? Np. just form a guild of trolls to report him. Need some AD? No worries, play a cleric and roll need on everything, they can't afford to kick you. Want that boss drop? Easy enough, just as long as you are the leader you can…
  • You will find that fanboys will defend absolutely anything, no matter how ridiculous the system is. The sad truth here is that Cryptic/PW is well aware that people abuse the system, they have said as much in their other games. They just don't care because it saves them money through not having to manually handle spam…
  • The game has a very ambitious class role structure. Having a healer, a tank, a single target dpd, an aoe dps and a control class. It is a lot more complex than the traditional trinity model. Not a bad thing at all but it is more difficult to balance, and more vulnerable to break in a different way in the process. For…
  • The problem with looking at how many are online at this early stage of the game is that people naturally begin to play less. The early excitement wears off and you just log less hours, but it doesn't mean you quit. Couple of months from now it will be obvious what happened, but right now it's very hard to say. Personally I…
  • I'm just one person, it's not an indicator of anything. The things I listed are objectively true. The only one that can be argued is calling the cash shop a rip off, but even that is for a fact on the expensive side compared to other games.
  • Talking about dying is misleading because MMOs die very slowly and it's nearly impossible to predict with any kind of accuracy. However when a game is missing content in all aspects when it comes to the end game, and has a ton of exploitable bugs, and has an absolutely awful class balance, and a rip off cash shop, and the…
  • I think it will be too little too late. They need to fix bugs, balance classes, add classes, improve the foundry significantly, add a proper end game, fix pvp issues and add pvp content. All of that is certainly doable but it will take a very long time and gamers don't tend to wan't to wait. Calling it beta is a handy…
  • It is if you aren't that good with computers. But I won't personally stop using Avast over a fairly rare issue that I can easily fix anyways.
  • Return it from Avast chest. Scan it proper to make sure it is a false positive. Add it as an exception. Profit.
  • You can't take P2W literally, which means that you wont be able to come up with some great definition for it that everyone agrees on. It's pointless to argue the term. That said, I can argue that it can be bad for a game to get the reputation of being P2W. Regardless of how you personally define it, NW definitely has that…
  • It's one of those things where it's hard to condemn individuals, if someone really enjoys a game who are we to say what is the right amount of money to spend on it. The only exception to that I think is when you pay for something before you even tried it, that is usually always unwise even on an individual basis. But when…
  • Easy solution, become a ninja yourself. Sell your ninja'd loots and buy the thing off the AH. The way it was meant to be played, well, that or a credit card.
  • Wiping is almost useless now, or does anyone actually believe this has been the last of the exploits? These hacks are the easiest you can think of, a child could do them, imagine what the pros might have in store. Wiping only makes sense if you can be reasonably sure that you won't need another one later on.
  • And then the silenced person should have an option to report abuse, which would result in the flaggers getting silenced instead if it checks out to be true. But again, that would require someone to actually take a look at the logs, not gonna happen.
  • It's a system that solves the real spamming issue very efficiently and cheaply. The downside is that it is also extremely easy to abuse. Better get used to it though because the alternative would cost money and involve hiring people. Looking at how well that is going on the customer service side I dread to think how much…
  • I don't think a wipe would really help at this point. There are game breaking exploits/hacks in the game right now, and that's just what we know of, there are probably even more waiting to come out. If they wiped now I'm afraid we would just get to the same point again with people asking for another wipe.
  • It's true alright, at least the GF bit. Obviously wont go into details but it isn't the same one as before. For being seasoned MMO developers they do seem to make a lot of rookie mistakes.
  • They don't care because they don't have to. Their customer service has been terrible for years but you still keep giving them money and even after this disaster you will still keep doing it. So why would they change?
  • I think its mostly indifference with a touch of hate mixed in with a lot of PR and BS.
  • It's not that simple usually. If one class out of six is overpowered then the only rational solution is to nerf that one class. Otherwise you have to buff all of the other five classes equally, which is hard, and for PvE you have to also buff the content because everyone is suddenly more powerful. It just isn't practical…
  • It is a loot system and economy designed for ninjas. You are either a ninja or a loser, pick your poison :)
  • Providing evidence is great and all but it's not always realistic when it comes to balance. You could do video about how long you can CC someone or how much you can crit, and stuff like that. But balance is much more complex and it can't all be captured in a video. Numbers would help but good stats are extremely difficult…
  • It is painfully obvious that this game wasn't ready for the public yet. Little to no end game, exploits everywhere, easily hackable client side features. The foundry is a good idea but even that is half done and unrewarding to play. Class balance is ludicrously bad. And to top it off the cash shop is a rip off. But the…
  • But what is normal? If we assume the exploit existed since day 1, it will have affected the ratio all this time. There is no normal in this scenario and consequently it is quite impossible to prove or disprove.
  • It's too early to say anything definitive. But if billions of AD have been generated like some people claim, then that currency probably is mostly in the hands of AD sellers. That would mean that it will slowly trickle into the economy as people buy their cheap AD. Such a slow trickle will look like a steady state of…
  • But really in the end none of this matters, it's just a word. If there are no wipes then all the consequences that problems cause will carry over to the foreseeable future. It doesn't matter if it is titled beta or release, it won't change any of the facts, it doesn't give any excuse.
  • That is true. But "test" means something else. It means that it is not the real thing yet. But in this case every single aspect is identical to the supposed end of beta (I say supposed because some games stay in beta forever). If everything is equal then they are the same thing, regardless of what the creator decides to…
  • Fair enough. Now which one of those is the official truth? Which one of those is not just something that some dude wrote as an explanation of a term. Which one of them is from an agent that gives the permissions required to use the term? The truth is that there isn't any. This is like Pay 2 Win, it's not defined so…
  • That is genius! Everyone should quit. With zero players there will for sure be no exploiters at all. Why didn't we think of this earlier?
  • Find me a single formal definition that it doesn't.
