It is actually explained very early on in the storyline through a quest in the Tower District that the Spellplague diminished the capabilities of staves, and also rods and wands. It was said very few Staffs survived, and those that did contain little or no power, making them nothing more than ornaments.

This is a bug the devs are aware of, and have patched on the preview servers. When that patch hits us, I am not sure.

Eh, I still cannot figure out why no-one likes Drow. Personally, always been a big fan of Drow/Dark Elves, racials just dont matter to me.

Heh, I have always had a keyboard connected to my Xbox (A cheap compact wireless one, it lives on my coffee table), and its always been great and works flawlessly in every game I have. Hell, it actually has controls in one or two titles, and I have been able to extend the controller effectively using the keyboard. I think…
