I am also having this issue. I purchased the pack during the sale and now can only claim the items on the character that was active when I made the purchase. I was able to make a Moon Elf character, but did not get the extra slot or the items on any of the other toons. I would love to know when we will have an update on…
EQ2 also has a class and race that you have to purchase if you are not a gold member (pay by the month). Gaming companies are allowed to make money (and need to do so somehow). Would I love to have Rangers at launch? Yes! But if not, I dont mind having to pay for it later...
I love in-game holidays and special events. I do, however, think they should relate to the game storyline (as others have mentioned). I do not mind at all if they fall on real-world holidays (kinda like it, actually), but there should be some reason for it in-game. And when I say I love the holiday events, I mean I really,…
I personally want an admin to shut him down. Tried twice today to look at recent posts and comments and don't feel like wading through anymore of his venom. Even if it happened to be true, I wouldn't listen because I can't give the time of day to people like that. lol
1. Please list the top 12 4E playable races you'd like to see introduced, in the order you'd like to see them introduced. Just list 12 races here, thanks! Elf, Half-Elf, Dwarf, Human, Halfling, Drow, Half-Orc, Tiefling, Eladrin, Dragonborn, Shifter, Deva 2. PVP. Since we know this is a one server game, we know true open…
Back-in-the day, in EQ I always felt I did not have enough "buttons to push", and we had what then something like 6 spell slots and little else and there were even less options for melee classes. On the opposite end of the spectrum, currently in EQ2 I have three full hotbars of buttons for my ranger and I am sure not…
Ok, the "hardcore" comment makes more sense now. I hate PVP so never really took part in any of that. I try it in each game, but it has never grown on me so I completely avoid it.
Wow. I would guess that beta access will indeed be given... when beta actually starts ;-) As for facebook posts, if you dont want to read them, unlike the page. It is pretty simple. (Personally, I prefer forums for actual information for a game, but I do like FB for the quick visuals it offers when a company posts new…
I am also curious about what point WoW started being considered "hardcore"? I left WoW because I thought it was too "easy" and too redundant. (Of course, I am not one to love "end game" so even after 3 years I was never whatever max level was, so that might be the difference there.) I have just seen the "hardcore"…
I will be honest, if I wasn't opening the site specifically to compare it to the one we have, I never would have made it past the intro. I had flash intros and sites that take an eternity to load (and on the system I have here at work, nothing should load that slow). That being said, it's nice to see the devoted cleric…
Welcome to the forums! I think "noob" input will be as valuable as anyone else's in the early stages when it comes to a game like this. Why? Because so many people are up-in-arms already about which D&D ruleset is being use, how its being interpreted, etc, that they might not be able to rationally judge how good a game is…
I remember the old boxed sets and paperback books for D&D ;-) I haven't seriously played any pnp games since 2nd Edition (and when that came out I remember twitching a bit but then grew to love that version). A year or so ago some of my old group decided that maybe we should start gaming again so some of us went out and…
I do not mind paying for specialty classes or races in online games if they are ones that are added to the game after the initial launch (Such as the Freeblood in EQ2). Gaming companies are businesses and have the right to make enough money to cover the cost of business and make a profit. That being said, I WOULD be very…
I have to say that I am rather impressed with the low number of people dropping onto the forums just to beg for a beta key. I think Rift was averaging about one an hour before Beta was even announced. It was quite surreal having to wade through beggar posts looking for actual info about the game or conversations relevant…
Hello! I remember my days scheduling vacation around gaming, lol. Loved to time it with EQs first few expansions, only there were always issues and you never actually got to PLAY on that first day... hopefully that will not be the case for you! Alfruna
Who was I in which one? ;-) In the original Neverwinter, wow, that was so long ago I can only guess at what the name was - Teine or Avania most likely. In EQ, I am on Povar as Avania, Tenaciti Tankhealer, Jeltra and several others (NONE even close to max level despite playing for over a decade... as I have said before, end…
I haven't played alot of pnp games since 2nd Edition. I bought the 4e players handbook when it came out, but did not do much more than skim it at the time (and in that glance it seemed to me that it was revamped with the play style of online gamers in mind - not really what I want in a pnp game). I was very set to vote…
Definitely agree with varrvarr. I did not want to imply that it should merely take X amount of days (weeks, months....) to get to max level, but rather that there should be enough original content to make most people not want to rush to the end game. (Yes, there are always those who will want to be the first to 50, but if…
I also agree that one shouldn't be able to race through the levels. It should take time to earn the rewards in-game and you should be able to use them for awhile before you outgrow them. I remember when you worked to get gear and that lead to excitement when you actually achieved the item. And while I also like rare mobs,…
I think I was just happy that there WERE traps in DDO... so many other games have the thief class, but no traps at all (or they are so few and far between that you completely forget about them). I've never tried a rogue/thief type in Morrowind though, so cant speak to those (might have to try one out now).
1) A game that is engaging from the start - make it so that there isn't a compulsion to rush to the end game. I want to have enough fresh content to run several alts and not get bored. 2) I don't want to feel that the world is painfully linear... I want choices as to where I can go (or not go). 3) Player housing! I was let…
I have never been a huge fan of "end game", though I don't at all mind the option being there. I did the Planes raids back in my early days in EQ, it was exciting the first few times, but after awhile, I just wasn't feeling it. What I would love to see in a game is enough low and mid-level content that those who dont care…
