I am an idiot. Get in, play for a few minutes, reminded by the wife we're going out to eat. So I figure I'll elt it download in the background. So I exited and relaunched. I knew I shouldn't have. But I did. Yeap, started downloading again. From the beginning. AGAIN. *sigh*
Launcher got to 44.0% and went to "(Not Responding)". I exited and restarted, and it launched right to Play. It didn't finish so I'm going to get abused again sometime soon, but I'm not exiting the game until the weekend is over so I can get some playtime in.
During this very slow time, I downloaded a different MMO to try, it was 2.6 GB. Took about 15 minutes. Speed for the Neverwinter update didn't appreciably change - faster or slower - when I started or when it completed. Been browsing the internet and it's nice and snappy, I don't have long delays getting pictures or…
Same here. I lost conenction (computer went to sleep) and it started from the beginning. I'm 8+ hours into the download, I don't want to risk it even if it kills all of my time to play today. I've already lost more time to this then to the Caturday exploit, and this is all on PWE/Cryptic unlike then. I hope the "We're…
Same here. I have not checked the Disable On-demand Patching, and I've been patching for close to eight hours. A big part fo that was my computer went to sleep as normal without usage when I was at 23%, and the patch program restarted from 0 when it reconnected. Right now I'm at 39.5% and about half of my total play time…
Wow, I'm glad your way is the Only True Way(tm). The Devs are mean and nasty, tricking us by putting in a queue system that should never be used. If a feature doesn't work, it's because we don't know how to have fun Your Way - we shouldn't try and get the feature to work, that's Wrong. Less tongue-in-cheek: yes, we can…
I allow on-demand patching, but I'm locked out of playing during my first block of time this week because of it. It's taking forever. It got up to 23% before, but I left to do other things and my computer went to sleep - expected. What wasn't expected was that the *%^@ patch program needs to start at 0% again. So I've…
Yeah, it's Saturday morning and I have a the first block of time to play that I've had in a while. But I'm stuck doing a massive patch - and I'm not even on the test server. It got up to like 23% before, but I went to do things and my computer went to sleep like normal. The patcher can't pick up where it left off, so I'm…
