I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this. Please take a moment to add to this thread if you've seen this error.
I attempted to make a buyout purchase on the AH. I successfully made that one purchase. I wanted to buy many more of that same item so that I could combine them into a higher grade item (Crucibles). With each buyout attempt I made after the first I was given a red lettered error message that said something along the lines of the Auction House not being available. I continued to try to make purchase of the Crucibles only to find after a number of attempts that I no longer had enough AD to make the buyout purchase.
Here's what I need from the community: Has anyone else seen this error message? and if so, have you noticed AD having been spent even though you did not receive the item?

Error message, yes. Happens all the time. When item has already been sold, accounts on probation, not enough AD in your account and several other reasons.
AD taken, No, never and I don't think it is even possible as the red warning locks out the purchase.
Didn't you already create another thread on this? In bug reports, I think. Did you check your bid tab to see if you bid on it instead of buying out? That would explain the missing AD if it really is missing.
Honestly, maybe you really found a bug and lost some AD, but with no other reports it seems unlikely. At any rate, only customer service can help you and they should be able to see exactly what you did in the logs.
Thanks for the response. It wasn't a bid, it was a buyout. I also assumed the item had been purchased and thus continued trying. My AD did in fact get spent, though I did not receive the item(s).
I did create another thread. I mistakingly placed this here thinking it was the bug report section, but a lot of AD is at stake here, so I'd like to find out if anyone else has had this trouble.

Also check you mail inbox. It could have taken it as a bid, then returned the AD to you there. I know it does that on the PC side.

I have. No AD has ever been returned to me after getting that error message.
