Neverwinter was a very fun game with lots of DGS (Dungeons) with multiple ways to get ad, there was always something to do in the game ... now after that came the module 6 was very annoying to play neverwinter, the tiamat it was fun now this impossilvel to make the DGS T2 are very difficult a common mob strip 90k of damage in one hit, the bosses of the dungeons is virtually impossible to kill, only the strongest players of the game finishes, and the new players who began to play you do notThey thought of them? I am very discouraged with the game, several of my friends who played with me already stopped playing after that came the module 6, and every day I see more friends stopping the game ... not the one purpose to play, has few DGS what becomes very boring, the class balance is very unfair, I'm a Hunter Ranger with 3,5k iten level, and even forgiveness in DPS for TANKS of 2k level item ... just wanted the game to be fairer and return to be excited.
I don't playing neverwinter at the moment.
The reason is that after i got Level 70 by playing Vigilance Quests at each of the 4 new areas i felt pretty burned out. Then i played a bit of lostmauth, get 3 out of 4 blue T1 Armor pieces and then have no intention to log in, only occasionally to invoke and doing a bit of professions to get stuff like new shirts, pants and rings.
I only heard how difficult T2 is and it makes no sense for me after to get a T2 Armor after i get my T1 Armor. I wanna explain why: The Blue T1 Equipment has an Item Level of 130 (each of the 4 Item) and T2 Armor has 135 Item Level.
T1 Chest grants 16.970 HP, 1.187 first stat, 576 second stat and 509 third stat.
T2 Chest grants 19.039 HP, 1.323 first stat, 882 second stat and 607 third stat.
This means a difference of 2.069 HP, 136 first stat, 306 second stat and 98 third stat. That sounds like a major difference in power and if i consider that i can upgrade my T2 Armor in T2.5 the difference in the stats can increase, but i need 15 Unified Elements and 75.000 Black Ice. So we can have +2.897 HP, +191 first stat, +343 second stat and +107 on the third stat.
Now we make the same for the other armor parts which have a difference of 1.449 HP, 123 first stat, 82 second stat and 29 on the third stat (if it is upgraded to T2.5 via Black Ice Shaping Rank 5).
That means we get 6.416 more Hit Points and 1.343 more in different Stats (total). Sound like a pretty good stat increase? It is not! The reason is simple, the stat curve says 400 Stat Points = 1% in a Stat. So this grants you only 3,35% more in your stats and only increase your iLvL for 28 points in total, so there is simply no reason to get T2 Armor or upgrade your armor. And if you think 6.416 Hit Points more makes you better, i must laugh at you. The Monsters hit for 20-50K or even more. Voids one hit you for over 100K of Damage. This means the power gap is so big that it makes no difference if you wear T1 or T2.5 and there is simply no reason to visit T2 Dungeons.
Platypus wielding a giant hammer, your argument is invalild!
Yup. they screwed literally the game and everyone, absolutely everyone's had something to say about and not a possitive feedback (some but all is bad). They hired or something a new dev leader is leading the team to fix the mess the old left and we all are hoping to see the old neverwinter coming back.
I even starting to feel why people have stopped.
I stop 4 weeks ago, they just destroy the game with mod 6
simple ,they dont listen when the players tell them something is wrong
and most ppl that I know is gone

Nice post mate, i can only second all your words!
For me the dungeons now lost all the remaining fun they had, 3 -3 dungeons, matchmaking and the remaining community of players got very worse.
Sadly many of the good old folks left and the elitists, who remained and some other exploiters are a pain in my neck.
I get kicked so much with my toons from a Dungeon run, even before i can show my metal, that i have lost all my willpower.
From my old friends only 1 handful remained and there is very hard to find a decent group.
The whales look down on us average players and the exploiters kick me for not taking "shortcuts" in a dungeon run.
My other gripe is, that i fear i may have a Wi Flag issue again, my poor GWF never gets a piece of armor, just the same HAMSTER belt.
Honestly Mod 6 is a disaster for me and the likes of me.
Mod 7 with the stronghold system will be even more so, end to small guilds. Only big, exploiting or whale type guilds will be able to defend themselves.
Oh yeah and if i may ask- just thinking loud- where is the stronghold in DnD? Ok i know a few whales demanded it and their wish will be granted. More fun for them to slaughter the little player.
P.S: I am now even more skeptical to upgrade my artifact gear. What Cryptic has done now twice by simply making 2-3 months old gear obsolete, was simply more than not gentleman like. I will not grind, nor put any money in them now. Heck in a few months with the arrival of Mod 7 it may become useless again.
My trust has to be earned again, they lost it and as i see i am not the only one.

nice post. about sums it up especially the part about not listening.
and btw the new leader or whatever he is SAID that they WILL fix things. so far i have seen nothing that even hints at a change towards something positive. so i do not trust that they will do anything. just trying to hold on to the last remaining folks as long as they can.

Seriously, take a look around these forums - there are many success stories with those who actually analyzed play styles and learned to adapt. If you work on learning new survival strategies and maybe even join a guild and do dungeons as a well-informed team, it is not that bad.

There is simply one problem: It didn't work that way.
I live in europe and have a latency from 150-250ms like everyone else in my guild and i think like everyone else in europe. We die through the Dungeon. I have never seen a dungeon in which someone is not dying and i count soulforge progs as well. So every bigger encounter in eLOL someone died because of lagg (unstoppable doesn't progg or dodge or anything else doesn't work because you get a small set back).
In addition you have the problem that simply the damage spikes into nonsense. I have no problem with red aoe's one hitting my character but simple hits or charges that kills you are hilarious stupid (Or i dodge a charge only to get killed by the next instant charge because the monster wasn't successfull to hit me), especially if the monster has this whole [Hits Like a Truck] 5 seconds idle movement and do nothing [Hits like a Truck again] "behaviour". Which means you must perfectly move because the game is being pretty unforgiveable especially by monsters.
A good example is the first boss fight of eLOL. Almost every attack kills a character with one hit or leave him with minimum hit points which means the cleric need to heal him immediately to full HP, that means the cleric can't do any other stuff, like putting an Astral Shild on the ground to save the groups.
Then you have also the problem that the boss has a close range attack that you barely can't see and you have like 0,5-1,0 sec time frame to dodge that attack like the small snap attack from the dragon he rides. That was also a problem in mod5 and earlier in Neverwinter: Constant damage spikes that kill you instantly, but with gearscore increase and the possibility to counter such game mechanics with double or tripple up your HP, Regeneration, Lifesteel and Defence it wasn't a problem in the end.
Now we have that problem again because of the new stat curve + doubled melee range + (still) bugged aoe attacks that are bigger then the circle + Laggs + special boss monster laggs (had several eLOL scorpion fights in which the whole group, also with randoms from all over the globe, get 2-5 second laggs if the boss has 1/4 life left and we wipe horrible).
So yeah the difficulty is dumb and the technical issues in Neverwinter makes it horrible and the fact that we do the same dungeons we already have make it boring, so you have a dumb, horrible and boring game. And if someone says/write "no everyone with the difficulty is alright" then i wanna know why a great majority of the community wears a soulforge if everything in the game is alright with the difficulty.
Platypus wielding a giant hammer, your argument is invalild!

Because everyone makes mistakes. Some people do more than others.
Believe it or not, Cryptic DID listen. The majority on these forums wanted more challenging content prior to Mod 6 - there were many comments about that.
What people wanted was additional content that added more challenge, not cranking up the difficultly on existing content to 11. Especially not in solo zones.
Seriously, take a look around these forums - there are many success stories with those who actually analyzed play styles and learned to adapt. If you work on learning new survival strategies and maybe even join a guild and do dungeons as a well-informed team, it is not that bad.

Well it seems that the game is moving strongly into the direction that unless you are a PVP groupie, ie hold my hand and lets ride into battle as an all for one and one for all sorta thaaang, this game has run its soloable PVE course. Mod 6 makes that clear, and strongholds is the next step.
Take for example the stat curve they put into the game now. As you level up, your stat percentages go down. I went to Neverdeath today to do the daily for WoD there and decided to see what the stat curve was. At level 30 there, with just over a 1000 power rating, the stat percentage is +26% but at level 67 with over a 5100 power rating, the stat percentage is only 17%. I went up over 4000 power and yet my stat percentage went down by like 35%. That is the stupidest design I have ever seen in any game. It really is.
Another example: At level 60, I went to Ebon Downs to do another WoD quest there ( Barrow Destruction or whatever ). It is a level 70 quest but at level 60, I basically walked thru it with very little trouble at all. I went back at level 65 when the quest came around again and almost couldn't do it. Not only did I die, but I very nearly died every single fight in the quest. It was completely night and day difference in how the quest was from level 60. Since I have leveled past 60, I have quit trying to do those daily quests that are level 70 for the pages of arcane lore. Each level I go up past level 60, my character get worse and worse. No matter how much better armor I put on. It is ridiculously stupid. I have stopped playing my level 70 HR. I have all blue armor and over 62k hit points but even that isn't nearly enough now
Someone got on a "lets crank the difficulty up to 11" kick and they've been dragging their feet about rolling it back ever since. It's been over six weeks and the difficulty is just as unforgiving as it was on April 7, both in dungeons and open-world. I can't count how many times I've died trying to complete these allegedly solo vigilance quests. I've had it up to here with it.
Tone the difficulty down, guys and gals. Tone it down NOW.

What has Cryptic or PWE said about this?
As gripes go, this one is seriously pointless and downright dumb. The "zone dungeons" were always entirely optional content, also in regards to the storyline; little more than tying up loose ends. They kind of had to be that way in any case, since it was *extremely* easy to have your toon overleveled past being eligible for queuing for them by the time you actually got the sidequest to go and finish off the resident Big Bad whose plans you'd already derailed six ways to Sunday. Woulda been thoroughly nonsensical to have your progress along the main storyline stopped cold by being too high-level to get the dung out of the way...
And the rewards for those quests are purely symbolic anyway; a trivial pittance of XP and gold.
Even my actively played toons that didn't accidentally past the level limit via Invoking and Leadership have most of those quests undone for exactly that reason. I placated my inner completionist by trying to make sure I ran every dungeon at least once while the levels still allowed (preferably during DD, ofc) irrespective of how far along I was on the zone questline.

Its linked to the more clearly stated direction of "only hiveable minded players need apply". Unless you want to play as a group and think and act as a group and play PVP....see ya at the beach. That would be death beach btw and good luck to your bank account.

Are you implying that you want the game to be so easy that people never die and never use a soulforge?
He's likely implying SF shouldn't be perceived as the kind of must-have it now seems to be. 'Course for PvE it was probably the only actually worthwhile armor ench already before.

zactly, everything else was basically garbage. But for the HR, the barkshield would have been nice to use if it was of any use for the role playing function. But no...It had all the protectivity of a dry leaf.
