Update: This patch will go out tomorrow 5/28. I've highlighted the additional patch notes in teal.
Update: This patch won't go live with tomorrow's maintenance on 5/21. Current ETA is next week, but we'll provide more information later.
Classes and Balance
• Oathbound Paladin: Aura of Solitude: This power now works as expected.
Content and Environment
• Drowned Shore
- Beach Combing: To make this quest consistent with similar quests, gathering salvage no longer grants completion credit to party members. Each party member must find 5 Salvage."
- Breathless: Increased drop rate for the Necklace of Air Breathing. However, to make it consistent with similar quests, this quest no longer grants completion credit to party members. Each party member must find one item.
- Cornered by Crabs Heroic Encounter small crabs have an updated frame to show they are tough Heroic Encounter enemies.
- Enemies associated with Heroic Encounters in the Drowned Shore should now properly despawn when their Heroic Encounter ends. Certain enemies were not getting cleaned up properly, and made some areas much more difficult as a result.
- Herbal Malady: Resolved an issue with the golden path sometimes unintentionally leading to the wrong place, and confined the second portion of the quest to the Glimmerstone Mine."
- Stolen Memories: More than tripled the drop rate for Guardsmen's Personal Items, and doubled the amount required for completion.
- Taking Stock: Added a few more chests of Merchant Wares to make them a little easier to find.
- The Ravenous Host: Added more Lacedon encounters, and expanded the waypoint to more accurately represent the quest area.
- Updated the following quests to be more like other "Target" quests. Instead of getting lucky and happening upon one of these named enemies, they must be challenged at certain defined points, and then defeated. We feel that this will alleviate some of the frustration points encountered with these quests: Riptide Molly, The Tidemaster, Deepclaw, Mossy Meg, Maelstrom, Render, Surge, Hullbreaker, Slade
• Temple of Tiamat: There are now entrance restrictions on the Temple of Tiamat. You must be at least level 70 and have a Total Item Level of 1800 to enter. While this limits who can enter and fight Tiamat, it should significantly improve the chance of success."
• Temple of Tiamat: Lowered the difficulty of creatures within the Temple of Tiamat by approximately 20%.
Items and Economy
• Dread Ring
- Added 'Dread Ring Artifact Bag' to the daily quests. This reward pack holds 5,000 Refinement Points for artifacts in random denominations.
- Added 'Dread Ring Artifact Trove' to the weekly quest rewards. This reward pack holds 15,000 Refinement Points for artifacts in random denominations.
- Added a new set of armor, Thayan Servitor, iLevel 120 Rare quality. It is sold in the Campaign store and costs 75 Vanguard Scrip, 50 Thayan Scrolls, and 6 Thayan Ciphers per piece.
- Removed Seals of the Shadowmantle from the drop tables in Valindra's Tower. Removed the armor sold for these seals from the store and replaced them with a bag of artifact Refinement Stones.
• Icewind Dale: Heroic Encounters now also award Refinement Stones. Awards range from 1,000 Refinement Points for small Heroic Encounters all the way up to 11,000 for the most challenging ones.
• Newly discovered random weapons and armor that drop in level 60+ zones will now have Armor/Weapon Enchantment slots in them.
• Resolved an issue wherein some crafted shirts and pants were granting more stats than expected.
• Resolved an issue wherein some crafted tailoring robes granted more AC than expected of cloth equipment.
• Resolved some cases where a companion or enchantment powers would multiply with themselves to deal more damage than intended.
• Sharandar
- Added a new set of armor, Iliyanbruen, iLevel 120 Rare quality. It is sold in the Campaign store and costs 100 Feywild Sparks, 9 Abjuring Charms, 9 Vibrant Seedlings, and 9 Iliyanbruen Blades per piece.
- Daily Quests now award Thaumaturgic Stones worth 2,500 Refinement points each and Lair Quests award 5,000 Refinement Points each.
- Removed Seals of the Dark Fey from the Drop Tables in Malabog's Castle. Removed the armor sold for these seals from the store and replaced them with a bag of Thaumaturgic Stones.
• The Emblem of the Cults can no longer be used from the inventory.
• The buff icon for level 65 potions now use the appropriate icon.
Performance and Stability
• Resolved an issue where FX would still try to draw when they should have been throttled to help performance degradation issues. This is most relevant in group content.
• Resolved a server disconnect that could occur when connecting to a PvP map in some cases.
• Updated performance of FX calls that use animation skeleton information such as summoning angels, ghostly armored warrior outlines and the like as well as general particle sprite drawing efficiency.

Thank you!
P.S. I have sought advice but it seems like the best answer is : "Do PVP for the gear"- but I am causal (as is he) and we are not pvpers. Remember, us newer (and non-pvp) people do not have full sets of boons, high end enchantments, etc etc. and we need to be able to play too!
P.P.S. I'm a little freaked out at the lack of replies to this.... yikes- it's been up for hours and only 3 posts?

.. you'd probably have a better chance at seeing Santa Clause, in person.
Next patch sounds like a really positive step forward and I'm looking forward to it. But I agree with Borealis - I can't believe you broke Serpent while fixing Lone Wolf! Can you please sort out these glaring problems?
Not to mention switftness of the fox often failing in combat, Lostmauth's vengeance not working with rain of arrows and armor penetration STILL not working with roots - oh, and the nerf to hoard enchantments that over 90% of players who have an opinion find offensive.
And the absurd difficulty of t2 dungeons.
What's the point in providing these notes if they won't go live this week? What about this week's patch notes then?
And one more thing: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You delay nerf patch for one more week... I have been waiting for you to fix the difficulty for around 2 months now. It took me a week to level up from 60 to 70 and get a burning gear set from pvp (currently am at 2,4k item level). I've tried tier 1 and tier 2 dungeons a few times and I've managed to win eLOL only once with my guildies who have over 3k items level. Everytime I tried doing any dungeon (except standard), we miserably failed. Oh, and you limited RP farming, so now I can't even farm for my artifacts or artifacts items that require millions of RP to get them at least to legendary. You've taken away the abilitiy to farm AD, you've taken away the ability to farm RP. What are we supposed to do then?
Not playing this game for a month is a long time and the more you delay nerfing the difficulty, the more people leave. I still believe in this game and I log in daily to invoke and set my profession workers on tasks but I haven't been playing this game as I used to for a while now. My girlfriend already quit and we used to play this game a lot together. Two of my friends also quit, so now I'm all alone in this - it used to be much more interesting to play with my real life friends rather than with guildies whom I barely know.
Your inability to nerf this game to a regular gamer's level and slowly making it a pay2win game makes it very unatractive. I'm slowly losing hope and interest in this game. I will probably quit it by the end of this month because I'm tired of waiting and I don't see future in this game anymore.
However, thank you for the game because I've spent over half a year playing it and I really enjoyed most of it. I especially enjoyed the winter event - some nice memories there. But I guess it's time to move on and maybe find another game after a little break
Cryptic just can't win. First everyone jumps all over them for not keeping us informed... and now they get jumped on for providing information too soon.
At any rate, I'm looking forward to these changes. I'll check them out on the test server. Thanks for the update, Strumslinger.
Temptation needs to be identical to mod 5, or take one of the suggestions in the thread as a rework.
Soul Scorch needs its animation time reduced 50%
Killing flames needs to cast instantly, and have the animation play through movement. *
Essence Defiler needs its animation time (all 3 casts) reduced by 25-50%
Eldritch Blast needs its animation time (3rd cast only) reduced by ~50%
Hellish Rebuke needs to cast instantly, and have the animation play through movement.*
Harrowstorm needs its animation time reduced by 50-100%, OR have the casting time remain the same** and have the animation play through movement.*
*When I say animation play through movement, I mean in the manner that Curse seems to- the spell 'hooking' immediately, then allowing the character to move while it casts.
**Similarly, when I say have casting time remain the same- use the same methods as Dreadtheft, making it a short 'locked channel' but allowing movement.
Animation tweaks like this also don't much affect the 'defenseless target' DPS, but they'll GREATLY IMPROVE party play and, say, Tiamat- simply because the warlock can survive casting their spells. This means a SW doesn't detract from any given run- as any SW below ~2500 ilvl does now.
I said this in the feedback thread- fixing CLASS BALANCE is the foundation for fixing difficulty. Once the HIGHEST DPS IN THE GAME goes back to being that, WITHOUT the cheesy inflation that Tyrannical Threat causes, a lot of DPS-centric problems will be fixed.
Yeah, two weeks too soon. They already provided these patch notes a couple weeks ago. Won't be surprised, if they delay these fixes next week again cause, you know, it's Cryptic
But.
What about this week? No patch? Dancing blade fixed? Feytouch fixed? Immortal OP fixed? Trans terror fixed ?
NO?
Oh, so no patch today, just plain restart?
.Suicide Squad.
DEVs Bring back solo play and equality seriously while my lvl 70s die in well of dragons etc my lvl 65 oathbound rarely if ever uses healing pot .
TBH i feel cheated of the money i spent developing and equipping my HR and TR before the mod6 as its now useless if i can't play them
note purchased bags were made bind to character so zen bags would have to be bought for each toon before they bothered fixing any of the issues that makes high end content unwinnable without exploits or 2x the minimum item level, and saying you dont pvp and a casual just means they will ignore whatever you say cause p2w pvp spend the most hence all the class balancing centers around what the QQ baby pvp'ers cry about the most.
Just that! I´m in the same situation as your husband, but trying to play.
Thanks for listening, me & my friends hope that low level characters leveling can be more obvious as it has been stated by the lead dev that old dungeons need to be rescaled with difficulty being relevant to levels and item rewards being relevant to the effort put into the game. I know change takes time, hopefully you guys can solve the module 6 overall problems asap like a month or two, but we understand if it takes longer.
Thanks for all the time and effort Neverwinter devs.
The absolutely most ridiculous part of questing in this game. MMORPG Class 101 - Allow players to share quests item counts when gathered or monsters killed.
Many, many, mmorpgs fail at this simple rule of thumb, so don't feel so bad for being uninformed -- just fix it.
Thank you, Ed.
Not sure if you realized this was some of the coolest armor skins in the game.
Thank you, Ed.
I believe this IS the problem. The developers are testing with their super overpowered characters and not realizing 90% of the community will never have the gear they use for testing and they make the difficulty level just challenging enough for them to enjoy the game.
A full party of players with 20+ Power, Critical, and Recovery. 1000+ on all resist, stamina recharge, combat advantage, etc. Multiple mythic artifacts to interchange for any circumstance, rank 12 enchants, and transcendental too. Their lengendary ioune stone companions are just as geared too.
Thank you, Ed.
Well, I am in the same boat as you are. And many of us are. I don't care to do pvp either. If I wanted to do pvp, I would go play Call of Duty, Battlefield, or something of the like. I really never understood pvp in an mmo any way but for those that like it, it is all well and good. But many of us who like to solo or happen to be casual players have been asking for this since M6 came out. And many it seems were letting them know way before M6 came out that the difficulty was to much. But it feel on deaf ears and still seems to. I can't play my level 70 HR now that he is level 70. Getting 1 shot and dieing every fight is not any fun at all. Potions are practically useless now. And still no word if they are going to do anything about getting us back into the game and playing again.
I agree with you but I found the screw up over Serpent particularly painful. The patches should make things better not worse. I can be patient and wait for them to fix things - I get it's not that easy. But one step forward and two steps back? That was so exasperating!
And are probably testing on a locally-hosted development server with negligible network latency. That might explain why eLoL is so frustrating in the real world.

The ELOL dungeon is continually bogging down in the last fight. Several times I get knocked or proned with no warning, then a red circle shows up where I was standing, followed by the action. At first I thought I was having some latency issues. This is consistently occurring and only in that fight.
For the record, I love mod 6, haters gonna hate...I love the battle y'all have taken to the gold spammers, everything you're doing is looking good from my perspective.
Is there any time table for the 3v3 pvp option?
Icy Terrain in tab is not allowing us to target a destination.
Will the skins from Dread Ring be available anywhere else? Maybe a different name but same look?
Thanks again
