ah. Didnt know that. Didn't see anything in the RoC about it. I'm just curious as too how long people have played compared to how much zen they have been tempted to buy and bought.

I wish I understood people throwing away houndreds of $ on bugged, unplayable virtual goods. Maybe such people just don't work for their money and don't know its value.

I spent around $50 so far
There are several reasons to not spend any more.
-Game is completely playable without spending money. This is really good thing compared to other similar games.
-Prices in zen market are ridiculously high.
-Most things you buy from zen market binds on one char. Except horses, and horse is only thing i bought with real money.
-Price for zen in Euro are higher that prices in USD. I feel robbed because of that.
-Currently i think it is more likely for game to close that being fixed, which is sad really.

not a cent and I'll never spend one. I don't support p2w game models even if I enjoy the game.

about 100€ since 3-4 months from now Ι think.
Money I spend was on a mount (best buy in game ever) and some keys.

Grinded the hell out of all areas to make AD and buy rank 8 enchants and good gear (enough to started with 2100 IL in Mod 6)

Was liking the game heaps and thought I'd chip in to support it.

Then Mod 6 Happened and felt all I had worked for had gone to waste and fear anything else I work for or spend in this game will be rendered obsolete next mod + more bugs so I decided to freeze the spending till the game gets sorted out.

I'm actively looking into other MMOs right now tbh and grasping by nail and tooth onto this game still hoping some of the stuff broken are gonna be fixed soon, old missing dungeons be brought back, balance etc.

60€ or so in two years IIRC. Considering increasing support a bit currently given that now there's a reason to support the game I'm enjoying a lot more with mod 6, especially dungeons.

I'm not sorry for any money I spent on Neverwinter, but I wouldn't spend anymore money on this game. Spending money now is like encouraging them to put out more HAMSTER content. I believe that anyone that's buying Zen these days is contributing to killing this game. Cryptic must understand that they have to make an effort to earn our money.
By the way, expect this thread to be shut down.

Only if it's used as a tribune to incite others not to spend money on a game they may enjoy, ie posts like yours.

Maybe people use to spend money on this game, when it was viable to do so, but now this game is nothing but utter garbage. So don't expect people to spend and more money any time soon.

Is that what my post is? Oh my!
But seriously, threads like this have been shut down in the past, when the the community wasn't so enraged with the developers and the feedback wasn't so negative. What do you think is gonna happen to this one, when most of the community is so dissatisfied with the game.

I completly agree with the above. Spending $ now would just mean that you consider module 6 as improvement compared to previous modules. I guess that ZEN sale which they made not too long ago was made to compensate for all the players who stopped spending $.

I spend around 50€ on this game since Oct 2013. I never used the Zen from that. Every time the devs implement something that is valuable/ enjoyable to me I buy some Zen. For the time the devs do what I don't like I stop buying Zen.

I strongly believe that this game will be shut down if nobody pays and that payment should only be done if the player likes/values certain things of the devs work.

If you're ok with all the newly introduced bugs, lag and rubberbanding (ESOT and KESSEL bosses are kinda unplayable due to heavy lag/rubberbanding atm) by all means, feel free to continue buying Zen and reward them for a job well done, even on a ZEN sale...which could actually be the base price of Zen in the first place.

I like to put my money on stuff that works, no thanx.

[ edit ] My comment is not specifically directed at you, just to avoid misunderstandings, it is about people who thought the ZEN sale was a "sweet deal" and kept on paying for a broken game.

havent spent a cent, usually have enough ad to buy stuff i want(probably some 10k+ zen), and with all RP HAMSTER, lack of challenge in previous mods, game engine being coded on noahs ark by monkeys(seriously why ppl who cant make a good engine try to do so anyway, whats the problem with using smth like unreal or cryengine, or any other engine thats made by professionals, yes u have to pay for it but at least you get smth that looks good and works, instead of some vomited code) and bugs the only point i really considered putting my money into game was before mod1, now if they would do smth about bugs, RP and performance issues(though that might be too much work) i might start spending.

f2P is a matter of principle for me and anyway, I now that I'd just get angry and frustrated if I'd spend money on this. I'm simply sparing my nerves, so far so good (Y)

Over a couple of accounts i've spent approximately $600+, including packs such as HotN/FW etc.

I haven't spent much, if any, money over the last 12 months and, given the quality of the game and the overall customer service i've received in the past, I won't be spending any more.

    over 500€.
I stopped because of the huge frustration of mod 6. The frustration passed out, but I won't pay again, to buff again my character again and hope to play as I played before...
I work sufficiently hard to be able to pay and enjoy myself for a few hours, I just can't grind. too boring. (I'm over 47 old, I am too old for that).
Also, I foresee that although I may be able to buff quite a bit my character, I won't be able to solo as before...
I don't see also any point in battling mobs able to do 100k+ dmg when my best shot is 23-24k at best....
I don't see also the wisdom in making so much monsters immune to control...
    just my opinion.
I'm also actively trying to find a better game. I would appreciate advice from the community with arguments (mp).

I have spent over 500 or so and find leveling is far too quick and there is very little replay ability of this game. As the main content is very repetitive, maybe adding some of the best player made content to the official game would be good. As for lower level players would have more than the same adventures over and over to play through (I do them for the bags only). Adding the new mod to level 60 and moving the old to 70 was stooped, what were you thinking or not thinking at all. I for one will not repeating any of the 70 level stuff as have done it already till I can not see, long and boring. I have a new paladin and will do the new 60 and after that I will quit until this game fixes its self or COH comes back (my bet is on the latter). (COH, means City of heroes)

When compared to the amount of time I actually play, I've probably spent too much. Much more than I probably would have if this were a subscription game.

I'm not sure I'll be spending anymore. The recent decisions by the good people of Cryptic with regards to Mod 6. The rewarding of non players while ignoring their loyal player base. Have left a bad taste in my mouth.

There are just too many places where I could throw my disposable income that would feel far more satisfying.

So much this... Spend around 300 euro the first ýear of nwn, because i truly enjoyed it, then for a while i was all set with ad and nothing really to spend it on, since all content was a faceroll. After the HAMSTER they pulled in mod 6, why on earth would i ever spend a dime on this game Again... Almost bought into the 18.000 zen reward thingy a while back where you got all the free companions, but seriously why would i spend Money on ingame stuff, just to see it becomes obsolete a few months later, even though the devs stated that we will use these items for a looooong time... So yeah unless the new dev team, really do something amazing with this game, and somehow restore my faith in them, my wallet will remain closed.

If nothing else, this poll is an interesting experiment to see where most of Neverwinter's money comes from. Is it a lot of people spending modest amounts, or is it a few people spending huge sums of money? Though not many people have voted yet.

my curiosity was sparked when I went through my email and saw how many Zen orders were in there. I never realised how much i'd spent until I added it all up.

That being said. While I'm having fun, I spend money, if I stop having fun. I don't. If something new appears that I feel will be fun. I dont mind spending money to get it.

I was curious about that also. I'm sure there are a lot of players who have handed over $35 for an epic mount, or maybe $50-100 for the guardian of neverwinter/feywild or dragonborn pack. but its curious too see where us who use the forum (th eminority of the playerbase, but the most vocal) stand.

voted - spent around mid-range in the vote options.

Would I spend more? Not after Mod 6.

Waiting for Mod 7, then we'll see.
    ...............vote for your favourite expansion..........
"Mod 6. Oh my f****** god. It gutted the game pure and simple. And what wasn't gutted was messed up by the poorly thought out new level cap and equip. The game never recovered from that atrocity".
    ..............not this one then.............
