Confirmed, a full respec token, will clear the bug on feat/power/boons

Ok, I broke down, I couldnt wait any longer, even though its pissed me off, I used a couple today.

A full respec token, cleared the issue and I was able to allocate points again, but it was a FULL respec that did it.

Up to you if you use one or not, I think its cheesy they didnt fix this for us in this weeks patch, but Ive entered my complaint and this is the last thread I will post on the subject.

They shouldve done a better job all around on this critical bug.

The same bug exists if you use a race change token to switch to/from Human. The game doesn't know what to do with the extra Heroic feat points it has to add/remove and only a full respec fixes it. That bug has been around since race change was introduced.

Wait till you get another power point from overload xp and cannot spend it. I know it isn't as bad but the above will only work for those points you have and not the ones you may get later.

Doood, all characters got a FREE FULL RESPEC when Mod6 launched. So, why would you need to buy another one?

I had already tested and used my free respec on some of my toons, those toons ended up bugged due their patch, i better be able to spend points if i earn them..

they shouldve just rolled thier "fix" back, that wouldve been the proper thing to do.

I wish they would give out another free respec to fix everything, but I somehow doubt that will be happening...

The problem is that this costs Zen. No one should have to spend Zen to override a programming issue.

Maybe in addition to new management they need a better QA team?

I finally broke down and used the mod 6 respec on one of my 3 bugged characters. It worked, so I may do it for one of the others. The 3rd though used hers after mod 6 (what was I thinking!?) and so will remain bugged until they fix the issue or give us another respec, now long overdue. I'm not paying for their mistake.

Any character you had when mod 6 went live got a token. If you press the 'respec character' button it will give you the option to use it, if you have one. If you are a paladin or you already used it in the manner it was designed for (to switch skills after mod 6) then you are out of luck.

You actually got both, you had your feats reset AND you still have a respec waiting for you.

Its already been said in this topic.

Just open your powers page. At the bottom where the the respec button is. If you click it, you will see 3 options. Cancel, use free respec, or use paid respec. The use free respec button will be lit up, all you gota do is click it.

Yeah, paladin here, unlocked all these boons and not being able to get them was pretty annoying, lost my patience, bought a full respec with Zens, and everything works now.

You shouldn't, and you don't have to.

If you no longer have a free re-spec (because you created your character after mod 6 and never got one, or because you used it before the May 23 patch), just open a support ticket. Once they validate the issue, they've been giving a free respec to bugged characters.

I don't understand. I was able to raise powers from my paragon path to rank 4 BEFORE I reached level 70. Does that mean I'm screwed?

ya know...they arent fixing this issue its a big one....i dont get it. lets play a broken game...i, and im pretty sure not many others say to themselves on a daily basis "I wanna play that glitchy game" look...if we have to go out of our way to fix your game that you made....we will end up leaving. At least send us a reply to our support tickets letting us know what you have done to even consider fixing this!!!!!! if its not fixed i know im gonna end up leaving!

Um, the thread Title is totally misleading. It's true if you respec everything it will clear your current issues. But most people already used their FREE respec. Then they pumped powers to rank 4 making them useless. Now what? Cryptic never even warned us about this issue. You would think something this important would require any company to warn it's customers. My characters are screwed until Cryptic fixes this. I am not going to buy a respec token just to fix their mistake. But even then it wouldn't fix it now would it? I still couldn't rank anything to 4 because it would once again screw over my character.

why hasn't cryptic said anything about this?

    Maybe.

Some characters un-bug themselves at level 70, and some don't.

Until you know whether you're bugged (spend an unspent power point if you have one, spend a newly earned boon point, or spend a newly earned power point from an overflow experience gift), don't respec with AD since it won't reset power points. Using a free re-spec or a re-training or race change token is fine since all of those re-do power points, too.
