normal chest during dungeon delves consuming keys

Why is the chest i get while the Dungeon Delves event is active using my free (and 5k ad paid keys)? This has happened twice now that i have noticed and it is rather irritating. DD was supposed to be a free chest period ever since they implemented the concept of keys back in mod 4.

If it is a bug then it would be nice to hear from the devs that they know this is a problem, and if it is a stealth "feature" then well, i don't know what to say

    Apparently it's not a bug bro.

    They've changed it.
    Left chest consumes daily or bought keys now.

    No DD free chest anymore :(

    It is. Cryptic is just being cryptic. Can't really blame them for that.

    Is there an official word that this change was intentional (ie. not a bug)?

    I ran VT last night and went up to the chest on the left. It stated I needed a Valindra key. Is that the one you craft in the DR campaign window? 10K/19 hours per key if it is. That's a little irksome.

    I wasn't running it during a DD so I did have to use my epic key.

    it doesn't name dungeon delves as an event anymore. just dungeons with a reward of astral diamonds. it appears that you don't get an unlocked chest during this event anymore. just more mod 6 failure.

    Guess they're turning keys into an AD sink... -_-

    Not even worth it, you don't get epics to salvage anymore.

    Yes it's awful, give us back the old event with the "chest unlocked" when you're inside a dungeon when the event is on. Having no rewards at all except once a day means no one will do more than one dungeon a day, and it's extremely difficult to find 4 others willing to do the said dungeons currently.

    It consumes keys, because it won't open even if the event is going on otherwise.
    Apparently dungeons were way to popular before.

    The last patch the "Dungeon Delves" event come to call "Dungeons" ... taaaaa.... raaa!
    Now... none cant open the chest without a key ! (other fix here!)

    I think it's a bug. I ran DD during Mod 6 and have opened chests without using my daily dungeon key. Something in the last patch seem to have broken it.
